Japanese colonialism in korea was brutal and koreans got treaded badly. Compaired to the joseon dynasty it was still an improvement for the female population and 40% of the male population.

Independend Countries are responsible for themself. Biggest company in Africa is Algerian company sonatrach. its responsible for 30% of algerian gdp. Selling gas to europe is what they depend on. some more money comes from trourism. also mostly from europe. Many countries dont have natural ressources. there the people need to work hard to earn their money.
there is nothing but algeria themself that stops algeria from building better cars than mercedes or bmw. or better smarthphones than iphone.

Many Asian countries focused on themself instead of blaming someone else and doing well with it. If African countries dont want take europe countries as role model they can look at them.
