People will believe anything, even the most unrealistic rumors without any evidence, as long as it fits their narrative
i genuinely struggle to understand why people can't just stay neutral and wait for all the evidence to come out. the number of people who immediately said they were no longer looking forward to lesserafim's debut because of these ridiculous rumors is actually maddening.

loona were an important group to me when i first started listening to kpop. if they start releasing music that i enjoy again, i will stan them again.

three consecutive comebacks from loona: so what, why not, and paint the town. ptt was the last straw and it made me "unstan" loona.
and most recently, queendom and feel my rhythm by red velvet. i don't dislike either song but if i had to rank red velvet's title tracks they would be near the bottom of the list. every time i listen to either song i can't help but feel like both songs are lacking something.

no? i'm not trying to defend irene. she did what she did and she has to live the consequences of her actions. i only brought up wendy because it never ceases to amaze me how little people care about wendy's racist actions and her refusal to apologize for them. and i don't know why the years of the scandals or their ages matter in this situation. there's no statute of limitations on these kinds of things, the scandals are only two years apart, and wendy was 24-years-old the last time it happened.

i only brought it up because it bothers me when people say they don't see irene the same way anymore while being completely willing to forgive wendy who has never apologized for actions that are (in my opinion) worse than what irene did. but whatever. this conversation is pointless.

Tbh i really forgot about this issue, but age matters in scandals bc the older you are the mature you should be and when was Wendy scandal? How many years have passed? I'm not one to take a +5 years scandal and still use it against the person when 1- they didn't do it again 2- i wasn't "present" in the scandal time so i don't see the logic in "judging" something just for the sake of this vicious cycle..
But even though I gave Irene as an example, i don't judge her bc i think she obviously changed for the best and the hate towards idols is so big and common that i, for sure, won't try to make part of it.
wendy did it twice. once in 2014 and again in 2018.

Tbh this is a weird situation... A bad behavior scandal won't make me cancel the person... I'll use Irene as an example (for obvious reasons...) I didn't cancel her neither did I send hate to her, i just thought that for a 30yo person she should know better and while it didn't make stop listening to RV, it did made me see HER in a different way even now. I kind focus more on the other 4, unfortunately.
It's like in my real life, if i know someone who treats others badly, yes, i won't convive with them neither will i make a effort on being friends, I'll just ignore the person.
what makes irene's scandal so much worse than what wendy did? irene verbally abused someone and apologized for it, and people are determined to hold it against her forever. but it seems few people care that wendy never apologized for twice mocking black people and painting them as aggressive and violent.
