Seeing the Yena - Smiley thread get bumped up reminded me that I only like Bibi's part of that entire song.

It's an 8. This is the song that was meant to close the album, and when taken in that context it sounds appropriately like an epilogue.

Though I always liked Up No More, when I read that Tzuyu liked the song so much, that she asked if they could do choreo for it, it made me like it more.

My pick is Jiwon from fromis_9. I don't dislike them, I just am not consistently impressed by them.

Alternatively I love Blackpink but I often admit if Lisa wasn't there I'd probably just be a casual fan of them.

Also I like Jackson Wang but I don't care for GOT7.

Oh dear, this is an intense comparison. Ugh. I think Ariana has the better voice objectively speaking. But I like Taeyeon's singing better? I don't know I went equal here.

My biggest takeaway from this, is that it's unacceptable to me that a professional establishment does not maintain a consistent number of sesame seeds on the bun. It almost makes me want to barge in the kitchen like De Niro in Casino and firmly direct them to put an equal amount of sesame seeds. I don't care how long it takes.

What were your thoughts on Moon? He was popular in the US but I haven't seen that same level of enthusiasm from some of my relatives in Korea. They didn't outright hate Moon either, but just trying to get a handle on the political spectrum there now.

Ultimately though my I have strong loyalty to Chaeryeong due to her time in Sixteen and as if she's my own little sister, I always feel compelled to root for her.

Hard to say. I think it would certainly affect the level of popularity and perhaps less people are open to Kpop girl groups. Maybe ITZY or aespa don't exist the way we know them because Blackpink was absolutely engineered for the West. Once BP took off, it gave the industry a blueprint on what actually works for the western audience in relation to girl groups after prior generations failed to crossover.

That said however, I think BTS is such a juggernaut that K-Pop fever still reaches the west just not as ridiculously high.

I've always liked them as personalities and liked a couple of their early songs however I didn't truly stan them until the Yes or Yes mini-album.

- who is your bias?

Dahyun, all day everyday. Very close second is Jihyo.

- what do you love about Twice?

First of all, I've always thought they had that rare intangible quality that gave them that "IT" factor as a cohesive whole, but what really sold me on them finally was their unquestionable work ethic and that they challenge themselves. Not only did they mature their concept, when they could've coasted by the things that brought them to the dance, but they put in the work, stayed passionate and became arguably a better product and are now popular on a global level. Most gg's don't survive the type of concept change they went through. It's a testament to how truly talented they were all along.

Eh. This makes me regret missing the last several days of Twice songs. 4 for me.

I have to say though that the Dahyun/Chaeyoung rap and the choreo are great. So I've come around to it's existence.

Hearing more more more & more being repeated ad nauseam. I love Bibi and Twice but that was egregious.
