Yep! Sleet is sort of like in the middle of rain and snow...or at least, that's what I like to say. It's more related to snow and not as thick. Just imagine the powdered sugar on a powdered sugar donut but outside. 😌
Just Glad it's not hail...that hurts (it's basically like chunks of ice falling) and they can get REALLY big. Not usually, usually they're pretty small but never underestimate hail lol

Do you happen to be in a school after high school or is it just where you live? Because where I live, you have to have students go to school for at least a month to make the money that you basically need to function (the schools do) at least, that's what I've heard. So school has been off and on since Spring 2020.
We were normally going to school until March 16ish 2020. I was in 8th grade at the time and everyone knew COVID but it wasn't exactly horrible in our state and hasn't quite caused an uproar in the rest of the states. We didn't even have a mask mandate in school yet. Every week, we were wondering if and when we would go home and not return for a while. Then we had spring break and at the end of it, they announced that school would be online until the end of May when school ended.
We did the last two months of that school year online and it was HORRIBLE. The board had to improvise since it's something that never happened to elementary, middle, and high schools before (as a whole).
Last year, my freshman year, we had the choice between doing online school for the first semester of school or doing mostly in-person school for the semester. I chose in-person because of the reasons I told you earlier but there was quite a lot that chose to not go to school for the semester. And it was like a week per month or so that we had online school due to COVID but wasn't as bad.
And then my sophomore year, this year, we didn't even have online school due to COVID as everything has been going a LOT better. In October, the state government gave our school district the OK to make masks a completely optional thing inside a school building. It was definitely weird seeing people walking around with masks on and teachers not saying anything. I remember if you had your mask down in the building, you would get policed by faculty to put it up. Now those same teachers aren't wearing masks lol. So far, we've only done online school due to the weather being possibly too dangerous to go anywhere.
Wow, sleeted snow sounds nice, but I can already imagine the feeling of being wet and seeing snow at the same time. It's a weird concept to wrap my head around lol. Definitely, hail is the worst!! One time I didn't listen to the weather app about a slight chance of rain since it doesn't rain often in California, but then it started hailing...that was probably one of the most painful days of my life
Yeah, I started uni 2 years ago, so I got caught in that awkward transition where everything was online. It was a real challenge for classes since they wanted students to have zoom both on their laptop and phone so they could see you take the exams at home. If I remember properly my school closed down and went fully online around March 2020, I was pretty happy since they delayed our exams, but I didn't expect to be fully online for another year and a half lol I think I jinxed myself there!
The mask mandate was lifted in my state a week ago, but my school still wants to keep 'em on since apparently, they'll only remove county by county. I'm in LA so we'll probably last in that mandate
But hey at least you got 2 more years and you won't get shafted for school events like prom, graduation, and grad-night!!

Oh wow...that must really suck. I'm not sure about you but I've always preferred in-person school over online/virtual school. I can see my friends and it's harder for me, personally, to focus on my work when I'm doing it at home. Too many distractions for me.
It's like a mix...I think it's sleeting now but earlier it was freezing rain so I don't even know.

Yep I prefer in person as well! At first I thought online wasn’t too bad, but 2 years of zoom flat out sucks. I miss the daily in person interactions with my peers, friends, and teachers. I also don’t like associating my room too much with school, as I tend to have a hard time focusing as well.

Oh no...you can't go to physical school yet? May I ask is it due to weather or COVID? We're off today and probably all this week due to weather being horrible. Maybe Friday but I doubt we'll go to school tomorrow.

As for school, we aren't allowed to attend in person. It's pretty weird how they're slowly rolling out in person. Some classes get to go in person while others need to wait, which sucks
