of course. nobody here is arguing that it's right. in a perfect world, we would help ukraine. in a perfect world, this wouldn't even be happening. but in life, tough times mean tough decisions. we all want to help. but we can't. it's not right, it's not fair, but if we have a world war, it will kill more. it will cost us more than ever before. it's not humane at all, it's breaking my heart to watch this happen but....for now, all we can do for ukraine is donate and (if you believe in doing so) praying.

i am so sorry, i can tell this is affecting you greatly, and i'm so so sorry. nobody wants to watch innocent people die. nobody here is justifying it. it is terrible. we are all just as angry and hurt...but all we can do is help fix that damage once it's done. there's nothing we can do right now that will prevent causing more casualties. if we have a third world war, not only will more people die, but more families will be separated, countless more will return from war with ptsd....etc etc.

i wish y'all would not fight in this thread. (not a call out for anyone pls dont get mad at me.) i get it; it's so nuanced and frustrating and unfair. but, at the end of the day, beyond all the political fluff, there is suffering. unjustified, sick human suffering. and why? because of some sick fuck with wet dreams of world domination. i am so, so sorry. thousands, maybe more will die, for no reason and helping them will end up costing us more. i hate this world. what happened to the future we said we would make? what happened to the world peace, love, unity that was supposed to be here by now? this breaks my heart. it's like history is stuck on loop. :[

1. Lots of cultural appropriation in k-pop and a lot of k-pop idols are very, very colorist and/or racist which would NOT fly in the west

2. Lots of anti-asian racism, sadly.

3. Lots of western artists have much more advanced vocal capability, so I think

4. K-pop is WAY too manufactured to survive; western audiences would tear it to shreds 10x worse than k-nets

5. The starvation diets and all that would also NOT fly in the west

7. Lots of k-pop is garbage rn, and the western industry has pretty much heard every sound possible

b) rmr when mini albums had like 8 songs instead of like 3? good times.

they missed a wonderful sonic choice for the dance break. that one member's scream shouldn't have been muted, and the beat should've been slowed and a bit dark for a few seconds, and THEN lightened up for the rest of the dance break. it would've kept the dark themes and general sound of the song while still having that cute, synthy sound APINK's newer songs all seem to have.

i kinda agree! they seem (esp jisoo, but that's understandable cuz she didn't even want to be an idol at all LOL) like they'd prefer to be solo and do their own thing, which is not an issue; it's just they're even more profitable as a group, so they'll probs stay with YG until their contracts expire, and then i see jisoo and lisa and jennie leaving, and maybe rose continuing to pursue idol life as a soloist! but then again.....they all have seemingly expressed interest in being more involved with their music making process, but YG won't allow them, so maybe they've just given up? idk.

bored. want to go home and sleep. too much cleaning and homework to nap, though.
