I think I need to hear the song without Taeyeon singing because the singing part in my opinion is different from Doja. If the problem is the instrumentals, I think I just need to hear them on their own. My ears aren't good at separating parts of song like this from each other. There's been other cases like this where I just don't hear it...

Listening to them back and forth is kind of doing it though but I don't know if it's just because I'm trying so hard to hear it? Either way, I like both songs and even if they're kind of similar, I don't know if I would call it plagiarism. I guess if even Doja says something then I'll know

As a huge Doja fan, I just don't hear it and I've listened to Say So and the Hot Pink album in general so much Can someone point out the specifics that everyone is hearing?

Honestly even including BTS, the only times I've met a kpop fan in real life is my cousin (who I got into it), my friend who used to like it when she was younger, my coworker who had an exo keychain (didn't bring it up with her though), and this one girl I met while I was on a trip. As someone who is 22 and likes it, my friends/family who do know I like it lightly tease me about it sometimes because it's seen as a niche and kind of silly I know they don't mean harm but it makes me feel immature lol

Never heard any kpop on the radio but to be fair, I don't listen to the radio too much and stick to the same 8 or so stations in the car

Honestly her dogs are the cutest for me. If I ever get a dog, I'd want one like them. She also loves them so much, it's cute I usually get worried since I feel like most idols' pets don't get enough attention but you know those dogs get the love they deserve

An Ode is a good ass album Lucky is personally one of my favorites on it, sounds a bit like Shinee imo

Snap Shoot also has a special place with me, the MV is cute and was directed/filmed by Mingyu

Personally for me, it would probably take about 3-5 but even then I don't trust myself to unstan. I like their personalities and other content too much that songs alone might not be enough, especially Twice and Seventeen. GoSe is even one of my main entertainments these days

Celebrity was definitely IU's weakest release this year. I listened to it once and not again. Luckily Coin and Lilac made up for it by a lot

IU for sure, visuals + talent is timeless

I think one reason for this is because at least internationally, Exo and Seventeen both have generally older fans (20+). This usually results in less noise on twitter/akp/etc. and makes them "irrelevant" to younger fans who are probably the ones saying this. Their "hype" years where there was more noise are also before any of these kids were probably into kpop so they don't understand just how big especially Exo was

As someone with little to no interest in either of these groups, I would say no just because BTS's popularity is an abnormality and shouldn't be expected. Instead we should respect and admire groups for their own successes rather than constantly comparing them to a nearly impossible standard

But hey, in the end, we never know Another abnormality like BTS could always take place. We just shouldn't expect or put down other groups for not being able to reach it

I've gone to IHOP for free pancake day and once late at night w my friends. Never have I willingly gone to or wanted to eat at Dennys (last time was on a roadtrip years ago). The best breakfast places are usually locally owned anyway and way better than either of these in my opinion
