Not being biased here, but definitely Red Velvet! Their discography made me stan them.
It is a valid comparison considering Irene treated people badly as a grown woman. Also, the apology only came after she was exposed. Do you think she cared about it before then?
The point is, it wouldn't make sense for Soojin's career to end for something she did when she was 13 when grown adults have behaved terribly and not faced the same consequences.
There are differences between Irene's case and Soojin's case. Irene had a bad day, she only worked with the stylist once. Irene was exposed but she apologised straight away to the stylist and to her fans. She didn't beat around the bush like Soojin. Irene then posted another apology on lysn. So yes its different.
Bullying is never acceptable, and it sounds like Korea has a huge problem with school bullying and that needs to be addressed. No one should go through it, and I don’t like how people underestimate the affect it can have. Victims can suffer for their whole lives because of it.
However, it makes me pretty uncomfortable to think Soojin’s whole career could be ruined because of something that happened when she was 13. I understand if it is a serious sexual or violent assault, but otherwise it seems a bit Orwellian to me that people are retrospectively punished and “cancelled” for things they did when they were children. How can people ever change if they get attacked for anything bad they ever did, often by people who are just looking to ruin someone, instead of actually caring.
Irene didn’t lose her career over berating a woman to the point of tears as a grown woman, so it would seem rather bizarre if Soojin lost hers after being mean as a child. Not saying either of them should lose their careers, despite Irene’s behaviour being disgusting, but it just seems so backwards.
Don't bring Irene into this. Irene apologised repeatedly. What soojin did was also disgusting regardless of age.
For me as a kpop stan, I stan groups based on their discography, of course visuals attract me to them but their music makes me stay (if that makes sense to anyone). NCT (all units) have an amazing discography which is slept on by most people. I think many people are put off by nct because of their group concept and unlimited members but that shouldn't be an excuse. The concept is easy to understand.
Anyways, NCT music isn't noise. I'm not a stay and i dont know stray kids that well so i cant comment on that.

It's not about knowing, it's about how significant it is to you as a person. You can know things and not care much about them because you have zero personal connection. It's unrelated. Korea has never been invaded by the Germans, never fought the Germans. It's quite distant to them. Now Japan is another story.
(btw Japan and Germany being allies? irrelevant. Germany was also allied with Italy. With Russia even at first.)
