Yep, it low-key pisses me off when fans call "female empowerment" songs and concepts that are created by men in power and given to girl idols with little to no creative control. Like, I'm sorry but you've got to be beyond naive to think those middle aged male CEOs, managers, producers etc have feminism and female empowerment in mind while deciding how their girl groups should dress, dance and what they should sing about. Unless the idols have assertiveness and a say on their own concept and music then it most definitely isn't female empowerment.
I agree. This video gives a good explanation of why girl crush isn't female empowerment. It pretty much hits in your points.

I was expecting something from LV and BTS but nothing is announced yet. But BTS is on the height of their career, if not now then when?
That is the thing, BTS aren't our friends or even acquaintances. They don't have to and probably won't ever explain why. As fans we can only support them. They aren't obligated to answer to us, just as we aren't obligated to support them. It is an individual choice. If they ever want to explain it or change their mind, it is their choice.
I am quite surprised that not a single luxury brand want to engage with BTS apart from posting /update photo when BTS wearing their clothes. Chanel, Gucci, LV, Dior.... are missing the biggest artist of the world now and why none of these brands made any move?
You are right on time. ARMY was right to expect someone to drag BTS about luxury brands when the McD collaboration announcement was posted. If you haven't noticed BTS has been aggressively pursued by the biggest luxury brand, LV. At this point, it is BTS that has chosen to keep their current relationships with luxury brands as is.
Isn't it that clothing brand that has collaborated with BTS several times now. I know I've seen the brand on the weverse store for usually a couple of hundred dollars and more.
The lineup is still a mystery. I think famous singers, comedians, and actors have been speculated by YJS. Does is really matter? The main factor will always be about YJS clout, that is what will drive the interest and streaming.
I grew up in the Midwest. I would say most people still don’t know kpop in general. I was shocked when I mentioned BTS and my family actually knew them as the boy group from Korea. So the only group that a random person would know of in the US is definitely BTS only. If they are a kpop fan then they will know BP, Twice, etc. Only BTS gets enough media coverage here to be recognizable. Definitely not any other group. They have literally been mentioned several times on TV and Radio. I don’t live in either Coasts and have experienced this.
Watch the latest episodes of How do you play. Yoo Jae Suk is putting the group together and it is a ballad focused group with supposedly really good celebrity singers. I’m not familiar with SK celebrities, so I don’t know how popular they are. A lethal combination for the SK GP. They will suck it right up.
This video gave me a better perspective of the Fandom at that time. It really enlightened me as to how ARMY and BTS overcame those obstacles and how the fandom came together to grow even more.

I think the team dynamics and relationships should be the focus of the company when picking a leader and allowing the group to have some independence to be themselves. HYBE seems to know this and thus seem to have a very detailed and inclusive method to picking a leader. That is probably why their leaders aren't usually the oldest member. At least that is the conclusion I came to after seeing this video.

ANYWAYS...Here are a few of the most underappreciated BTS songs.
We On - What a bop, like seriously. I hardly ever see anyone talk about it. Just shameful!

Awake - This song is constantly overshadowed by Jin's other solo Epiphany. It deserves extra attention and I even think it's the superior solo between the two.

Outro : Do You Think It Makes Sense? - It's only downfall is it's on one of BTS' BEST albums. I think it got the short end of the stick and deserves more praise!

A Brand New Day - This whole soundtrack is slept on but this song truly deserved better. The vocals, beat, and melodies are all on point. Could be on the radio today tbh...

Special Mention *
Moonlight - D-2 as a whole mixtape is just top notch. I think this song kinda slips through and doesn't get noticed as much. It's too good to be missed!

Obviously there's plenty of songs that deserve more praise but these are the ones that come to mind right now. If youdon't care for these songs I don't think your soul can be saved...
How many of y'all are guilty of forgetting about these bops?

Finally someone appreciating We On, one of my favorites. I 🙏 that I will see a performance sometime soon. Unlikely, but maybe in a future muster.
The media isn't defending her? Every media article just reports both the arboretum and YG's statements that she was there for work purposes. If the place she visited makes a statement themselves that she didn't violate any guidelines, what else is the media supposed to do exactly? Other Korean YouTubers have also filmed in public places with film crew and staff. Jennie had 6 dancers that she already sees at work everyday. Doesn't make much sense for the media/knetz to crucify Jennie for something many others have done.
I'm not saying that the 97 line deserved the hate they got, but I also don't know whyyou're so desperate to see Jennie receive the same.
That last sentence is a reach, I’ve stated several times that I don’t think she should get hate. I was just curious because I hadn’t even heard about the Jenny issue until this thread. While the 97 line issue was all over kpop land. Neither one was in the wrong but the difference in how the issues were treated is what bothered me. I just hope all the blinks who came for the 97 line can experience some perspective and stop that kind of behavior.
Are you denying that the media is defending her or that they aren’t blowing it up like they did about other idols? What is your explanation for this then? I’m willing to hear you out.
I'm just confused as to why the media isn't blowing up the Jenny issue like they did with the 97 line.
MAYBE BC SHE WAS WORKING? And if it’s work related the 5 peoples rules is not applicable.
She was wearing her mask, when she took her mask off you can see she either have it on her hands or put the mask on her pocket just the time to take the pic. Her and yg dancers are always tested each weeks. The park clarify that no rules was violated thank god she wasn’t hated for nothing.
FYI when the 97 line were “clubbing” SK wasn’t locked down, in fact businesses were open and people were gathering. So they did get hated on for nothing. Just like Jenny was “working”, the 97 line were technically doing what was accepted at the time. The big difference is that the media is actually defending her, sounds like privilege.
