I've seen several south korean interviews were it was stated that you get bullied in school for being poor or from families that are looked down on (broken homes). There was even an interview with a Sewol Ferry survivor's uncle who said she was teased by her classmates about losing her parents in the tragedy. She was forced to transfer schools several times because of that. I'm not sure why the parents and schools don't have a No Tolerance policy for things like that.

The song really suits JK. The original is by Gregg Alexander of the New Radicals.

My personal experience would be that the flower boy aesthetic isnt what I am attracted to. In fact, I had to get used to it. I have not been into boy groups either in the past. The thing is that the clean cut unthreatning good looks in a boy band does not age well as the female fan gets older. The male gaze doesn't usually change, when the female gaze does change. Men will usually like a young girl at any age, not the case with women. These are generalizations, so there are always exceptions.

It would be nice to have an actual female empowerment concept for a girl group that doesn't pander to the male gaze or play into gender stereotyoes. A group that doesn't force miniskirts, high heels, soft choreo, and one acceptable body type in kpop. I know it will never happen because they would flop hard because in the end, the companies pander to the kpop fans.

I think it is the companies wanting the female idols to keep with the unthreatning girlfriend concept. There are plenty of women who can dance the same choreo as men, but it would be perceived as too aggressive or suggestive. It is a legitimate double standard. This is why the only GG I've come across that I liked was Glam because they had a Break dancing/hip hop female dancer.

I have seen enough BWL and Dynamite to last a lifetime. I hope they start performing more songs that have either rarely or never been performed. I also prefer their B sides to their title songs in general. I want to see 134340, Ddaeng, Louder than Bombs, etc. especially on programs like MTV unplugged, concerts, and tiny desk.

Youtube 100% got me interested in BTS. The reason I'm a fan though is all because of BTS. Besides Keanu Reeves, they are the only people I've been a true fan of.

i think its funny you calling bts a boyband when a band is a group that plays music instruments, bts lacks the talent to be a boyband thats why they dance, there isnt one video showing all 7 playing music together at the same time like a real music group does, just videos of all 7 dancing together at the same time, and calling bts artistic is another joke since they are in music and lack the talent to be a music group, it's like calling someone in art who can't paint or draw artistic haha bts will be done by 2030 if not sooner
By your standards, why are you in a kpop forum then? If BTS lacks talent then kpop in general are full of hacks. By the way you don't have to play an instrument to produce a song. Apparently it is all done digitally now, cool huh? Also, there are artists who can't draw or paint. Google it.

I think BTS/Big Hit only gives Grammy interviews and donates to the charity to build goodwill with the academy and academy members. That is what I hope stops if they stopped campaigning for a Grammy. It bothers me that the Grammy is obviously using them without reciprocating. The Grammy has done the bare minimum for BTS while asking for donations. I believe that they didn’t even invite BTS to the Music Cares Charity Gala in 2019.

I really hope BTS/Big Hit stops chasing a Grammy because I selfishly want to stop giving any attention to the Grammys. I never liked the Grammys and want to go back to ignoring them but I’m too invested in seeing if BTS wins. I really want BTS to be happy but the Grammy is so corrupt. BTS has donated auction pieces to the Music Cares charity 2 years in a row and they brought in the most money both times. This is the same charity that a previous Grammy Exec was accused to misusing funds from and it was just brushed over. BTS doesn’t need a Grammy, dominating in the market should be the goal.
What do you think they should do if they don’t win?

I will use current events to give an example (but this in no way happened). Say you are a multi of Stray Kids and BTS and an Army was dragging Jisung for the recently brought up controversy. If you go But Namjoon to deflect off Jisung and trigger Army, then you threw BTS under the bus.
