Wow I checked Tears of Chaos and they seem great. I hope they will do better in future. Some groups from small agencies just get unlucky with either lack of promotion or maltreatment... I'm pretty sure over half of Berry Good's discography would be perfect for Korea but they are over just like that, since they barely went on variety shows and always promoted for a very short period on a few music shows. And a lot of times Knetz seem to not even be willing to check (I'm saying this because I heard many times that they would say words like "idol music isn't real music")

I understand very well how Koreans might prefer those over idol songs . Ever since BTS and BLACKPINK became popular, a lot of groups are following their path and Kpop has lost it's color. The music which many groups are releasing nowadays is aimed at western/ foreign fans. That's why we find them interesting.

Ik BP and BTS are also very popular in Korea but for a fact, they aren't exactly releasing what Korea has been cherishing for a long time, so they won't want other BP and BTS rip offs.

Yeah dear exactly, remember how many groups were releasing hits in 2012??? Then again, what 4th generation ggs released last year are NOT hits, but I got attacked for saying that in other places. Those people live under rocks. Koreans listen to soloists/ artists from Korea and even from west way more than they listen to Kpop nowadays. Kpop is following Jpop's path since a few years ago, it's only aimed at fandoms, not the gp.

I think that's just a special digital single. They release it every year on their anniversary pretty much, but now that they are a decade old they should have done smth more special.

Slightly off-topic but I had a cousin called "Negar" and her name basically means "pretty pattern" which is a very beautiful meaning, but once she migrated to west she had to drop that name and change it in her ID card lol.

They can't be a one hit wonder when they have two songs in top 5, then again, who cares if they don't release other hit? These 2 hits will save their careers for quite a few years, just like how EXID managed to survive for their whole contract period just thanks to Up And Down and Ah Yeah.

I do know what I'm talking about ???? I didn't even talk about their hiatus, go back and read my reply again. What I'm talking about is that they were considered "famous" within ifans but their concert audience and Youtube views didn't seem impressive. Gfriend was earning more than that while they were focusing on Korea/ Asia. I could bring several examples of how groups focusing on Korea has lead the group to be in a better postion than Kard or any other group that's been aiming for the western market but I guess that's considered offensive now.
