Some people might take this personal even tho I’m not dragging the group but as per the thread’s question, I do not personally understand the overall hype about Twice whatsoever. Absolutely gorgeous and diverse visuals aside, I don’t see what they bring to the table apart from a somewhat generic pop discography which seems to be 90 percent full of songs similar to each other. I also just find their vocals to be completely mediocre at best relative to a lot of groups in general (not just the more popular ones), and their choreographies are nothing to write home about.
I will say that they have a few bops I enjoy i.e Feel Special and Alcohol Free, but I can never get myself to like - majority of their discography I’ve heard or genuinely enjoy the songs without trying to force myself just because they’re popular. Overall I think all their hype has fallen flat for me. But I can absolutely see why they’re as huge as they are and continue to gain so many fans. I feel like they’re almost the definition of a textbook girl groups that continues to influence how other gg’s are today, so it makes sense they hold a lot of hype.

OMGGG yesss loving this idea!! I used to write newsletters in high school so I’d love to help, even in small parts if possible. We always did ours monthly since it allowed us to compile a lot of information at one time without feeling rushed.

It ends once people stop streaming these songs. As long people stream them, companies think there is demand for them and produce more of them. Everything is going by supply and demand.
So basically….it won’t end?
