That's great, on Oricon they have sold around 110k though? Are those 147k counting the ones sent to shops and such (like Gaon?) or what? Is Oricon kind of like a japanese Hanteo?
ORICON is to Japan what Hanteo is Korea but a with an extra oomph of strict.
ORICON numbers are guaranteed sales, but only for sales made in Japan for Japan. Purchases shipped outside Japan will not be reflected on ORICON charts.
ORICON currently uses a POS system (Point Of Sale) to track units, so even purchases made in a convenient store will count on the chart.
Sales made outside of an official retailer (like fanmeet/handshake events and tours) will only count for 30% of a sale. ORICON made this rule to prevent fraudulent or inflated reporting since they have no way to verify sales during such events.
Some retailers report once a week. These sales are added on the weekend which is why it’s not uncommon to see a weekend pop.
NCT 127 Japanese albums first week sales (Oricon weekly chart)
2018 - Chain - Japan 1st Mini Album = 44,832 copies
2019 - Awaken - The 1st Japanese Full Album = 53,042 copies
2021 - LOVEHOLIC - Japan 2nd Mini Album = 147,923 copies in 2 days
the growth
That's not a fact tho. Big 3 idols have to work twice as hard because of the competition among many trainees under the company, just like how idols from smaller companies have to work twice as hard because their company lack provision such as money and resources. Both situations doesn't have that 100% assurance of debuting. Debuting in a Big 3 company is as difficult as debuting in a smaller company. Every group has their own advantages and disadvantages while climbing at the top, there's no such thing as an 'easy way' to reach the top. Every single trainee/idol out there had it tough.
i get what are you saying, but is way harder to debut in a big 3 company, and what's their advantages ?
i can't see any advantage/privilege of stray kids compared to other bgs like Cravity, Ateez, The Boyz...
big 3 privilege is bullshit imo
yeah many people will check their debut but with that, they will receive a lot of hate as well
and considering the fact that it is much more difficult to debut in a big 3 company than in a medium/small company, I can't see much advantage
like, what big 3 companies can do for their groups that medium-sized companies like Cube, Pledis, Starship etc ... can't?
Well-produced MVs?
nugu company:
SM:
Jyp:
i mean most k-rappers try so hard to look like American rappers, i tried to watch SMTM these days, and is so cringe... It's so funny that they have a superiority complex towards idols

wow, people are being so aggressive towards the west, did you forget who died to defeat the axis? did korea defeat japan?
All these comments about, why Asian countries should know about western history lol...
Just imagine what would have happened if AXIS won WW2, it would obviously affect your country and in a bad way.
I know those numbers and I know when sm post them bc I follow smtown twitter
what that has to do with my question?
sm released these numbers right after, didn't ?
