Kep1er was formed from the survival show Girl's Planet 999 (kind of like Produce and IZ*ONE). So it's a temporary group. The contract was for 2.5 years and they just had their 1 year anniversary.

143 is hoping that Mashiro and Yeseo gain popularity there and can bring that popularity back to Limelight.

They're (currently) a 3 member group under 143 Entertainment. Its the same company that IKON just signed with after leaving YG.

143 is also the company that Mashiro and Yeseo belong to, who are currently in Kep1er.

The current plan is to have Mashiro and Yeseo join the group after they are done with Kep1er's short contract.
