    Plus, yeah he is not a veteran actor but if he wants to play in this league, he has to be good enough for it. I am not even hating on him but people are too harsh - yes - but he still has to deliver the talent of the league he wants to play in.

    I never said you can’t voice your opinion I’m saying he’s receiving feedback from professionals and that hell put more weight on what they have to say than viewers. I’m also saying no two viewers are alike so just because there are viewers who weren’t satisfied there are viewers who are. Sure theres a lot of criticism but there’s a lot of people praising him as well. My post wasn’t meant to be disrespectful or to say you can’t voice your opinion or to say he couldn’t use improvement in some areas. It was just to say yes they are negatives but positives as well.


    Anyways let’s end it here as I don’t want this to turn into a fight. I respect your opinion and I was never saying it is invalid. We are all entitled to our own opinions.

    He did start in small/side roles though. MIIGB may be his first main role but it’s not his first role. So I’m taking it you’ve only seen those 2 dramas? Then that may not be a fair assessment of his acting since he has played other types of characters too. I know people who didn’t like his acting in MIIGB or True Beauty but did in another drama he’s in. And yes I’m not denying he could improve or that it’s a bad thing. I agree he can use improvement in some areas but some people judge him the same way they do veterans actors and I don’t that’s fair. Also no two people are alike. So while there are people who weren’t satisfied with his acting there are people who are. As I say every actor has their critic and you can’t please everyone when it comes to viewers and that’s why I put more weight into what the professionals have to say. Viewers tend to judge acting based on what other actors have done or their own experiences, while people who worked on the production understand what the director and writer’s vision was for that character and show and what was asked of the actor.

    I think people forget he’s still a young actor. I mean when you watch great actors at the beginning of their career most weren’t great. It takes real experience to get to that level and I don’t see anything wrong with a young actor who is still new to the craft needing improvement.

    Eunwoo is already expanding his roles into the action thriller genre where he’ll play a naval officer in one project and an excorist priest in another. Be sure to tune in.

    I think he showed major improvement and he was great as Suho and IMO captured him completely. We are entitled to our own opinions though and every actor has their critics. There is not one exception. So I guess you can’t please everyone. Hopefully one of his future works he’ll change your mind.

    I think you’re forgetting he’s only 24, has only had 3 main leads, does one drama a year, and is not a full time actor and doesn’t focus on acting 100% of the time. I know you don’t dislike him, I never thought you saw him as ugly or untalented. Looks are subjective and to me he’s the best looking and most appealing but I understand others have different opinions. And that’s okay, how boring would it be if we were all the same?


    I’m sorry if I responded in a way that made you misinterpret my intention, I just thought you could have defended sf9 without mentioning him, because as he’s my ult I see him dragged a lot for no reason so I can be extra defensive.

Not once in what I said did I EVER put down or insult Eunwoo. Had you of read everything properly this conversation would not be going on like this.     Eunwoo is one of my favorite actors and I LOVED him in True Beauty. Of course he's good looking, he's not my bias in Astro never was. And I do not feel he's better looking than some of the SF9 members but no where did i say he was talentless or ugly. I have no issues with you, but I"m not going to let someone, in my opinion, attack me, who I feel clearly did not read the entire conversation. I would rather put this behind us as you misunderstanding my intentions.

    Btw, have you ever seen eunwoo in person? There are people in this world that you just have to see in person because videos and photos can’t do them justice, Eunwoo is one of those. There’s a reason why he’s thought to be the best looking of the people who have seen him in person including those in the Korean entertainment industry.

  • Cha Eunwoo actor vs idol?

    Honestly he’s fine as both an actor and idol. I’ve noticed people are way harsher on him than others because of his looks. Now I’m not saying he’s the best there’s certainly room for improvement in all areas but he’s nowhere near as bad as some people try to make him out to be.


    His face is a double edged sword. In this I mean people automatically assume he’s casted for his looks and they also assume his fans only like him for his looks. I’m not saying that’s not a factor since in a lot of roles he is supposed to be a god of looks but he has good points as an actor too naturally expressive eyes, great at action scenes, and great at emotional scenes especially crying. I will say he needs to work on making his facial expressions natural. His acting also gets better as the drama goes along. That being said the great thing about him is he knows he has as long way to go and is always working to improve himself. People tend to forget he’s only had 3 mls and does one drama a year.


    It’s the same for his dancing and singing. He’s really improved in both since he debuted in 2016.


    Anyways that’s just my two cents.

    Eunwoos emotional scenes were on point. Like even people who said he was bad at acting changed their minds over the scene where he confronted his father in the hospital. If it didnt do for you thats fine but saying that about his emotional scenes is literally the unpopular opinion. Theres many people who say he can act now or at least has potential but needs more diverse roles, thanks to his emotional scenes in True Beauty. But to each their own.
