I’m just saying that it seems they always had interest to enter the US market, your quote now proves that too, that’s why AH and the little collabs, it was to taste waters and to learn more about the market, which is smart to do as a company who starts to build their connections. Of course BH will wait until there is enough demand to put a whole promotion campaign into works. It all cost money.
Bang PD has said they did not have a any plans for western market. They tried Chinese market in 2014 and they were pushing Japanese market much more until they did anything in US in late 2017. They still prioritize Japanese market.
They toured in US, because thats where their fans were.
They didnt get any US promotions before they ranked top 10 on BB200. Their success didnt have anything to do with BH connections, all their opportunities were created by their fanbase. Fanbase showed there was demand and campaigned for physicals, fans campaigned for radio, fans sold out concerts to the point prices at resellers were crazy, so they got more dates and bigger venues. Fans showed up at award shows and events, showing demand, after BTS got nominated or won based on pure numbers.
