No one said we want them to dress like other kpop groups. We said we want them to be dressed well. Simple. It's just funny cause Dynamite teasers did not get this level of backlash styling wise in the threads. In fact I loved the dynamite styling. Instead of admitting that the styling might be a bit off or at the very least polarizing the same tired excuses pop up.

It's about music for most people, not clothing. Maybe the fashion dissection could be done in anothe thread? This is about the teaser and what it says about the song.
"it's about the music" The song has been barely mentioned. 80% of the commentary is about how they look and ESPECIALLY their hair styles. Teaser photos are meant to tease the CONCEPT of the comeback through STYLING, props, photography style, etc. So why are you shocked that those elements are being discussed when that's all we can see? Like??...lmao. Again, this is an open reaction thread - anyone can say as they please and your feelings about people not liking something doesn't matter at the end of the day.

Bighit stylists have been awful for years and i will never understand why fans who don't know or care about fashion are always the loudest trying to defend them. Let the ones who know and care about fashion talk about it if they want and keep it pushing
Exactly. I critque the stylist and then they all start quoting me in tears as if I just dragged BTS, and then when I check them they complain that I ruined the mood as if this isn't an open thread where people can share their dislikes. If this many people aren't feeling the styling...it clearly means something. BTS never used to have this big of a stylist issue to this excess, it just continues to get worse as they try to age up.

Since you aren't knowledgeable, I'll give you a hand. Fashion and styling is a MASSIVE part of kpop and music in general. Especially pop music. BTS have said this themselves. Their stylist gets paid thousands of dollars to do their job correctly, and she's been failing for ages now. She has been getting consistent backlash for her poor styling, has refused to properly research or improve her skills (aka her job that she gets paid for) and bighit refuses to get a new one. Has nothing to do with you, but I don't understand what you're trying to defend if you don't know anything about this particular area lmao. Usually most people just keep quiet when they don't know.

You could've told me this picture was from a photoshoot for a Dynamite performance, and I would've believed you. Also I've already seen Jin wear a similar suit like Taehyung's, during the Grammy Dynamite performance.
They all look great but I'm kinda disappointed with the theme they opted for. It has already been for Dynamite.
Exactly! I don't get what the hell the stylist was thinking of. The suits needed a more distinctly 80s vibe cause these photos are giving dynamite. Nothing about their fits are exciting besides their hair. Did I say they were cute? I hate to break the news to you but suits from the 80s are an acquired taste. Regardless if you're going to make it 80s themed, then do so. Their suits in their teaser photo are not only ugly and have no coordination, but they also manage to be boring as hell too. At least wide shoulder or a sheer top would've gave us SOMETHING. The stylist gave us nothing and yall accept it over and over again despite the whole point of the teasers is to show off the concept including the styling. Y'all don't get tired of defending mediocrity?

These excuses for their stylists poor effort has to end at some point. Like where are the exaggerated shoulders? She didn't even do the bare minimum research. Zero effort. No coordination. It's fucking tiring.

Anyway Butter doesn’t have as much hype as Dynamite but it really is down to how hype the teasers can make people. I remember the Dynamite music video teaser set the tone and then the song cemented it’s success. Hopefully Butter is promoted correctly and is actually a bop.

Y’all do realize BTS’ skin tone varies through the year? Just because they aren’t at their darkest in the photo doesn’t mean they’re whitewashed lmao and some of the photos people post were edited to be darker as well. In general people either want BTS to be lighter than they actually are or darker than they actually are. Guess what - they all range from lightly tanned to tan. Yes I know I’m ranting but I had to rant somewhere.
