MMA’s voting for each categories has already started.
Unsurprisingly, Supernova surpassed Plot Twist and Fate easily with only just voting. Pretty surprised by LWA and To.X in 2nd and 3rd place in the voting though.
Could see a sweep in all 3 daesangs tbh. Record of the year, however, is anybody’s game but I think it’s between Day6 and PLAVE.
I see Fate or HAPPY getting Record, not PLAVE.

At the end of 2022, you could reasonably argue that ITZY was still top 5 since Sneakers was a top 5 hit in Korea and they were still selling a million copies.
By the end of 2023, absolutely not. ITZY is still solidly popular, but they are the 6th most popular 4th gen GG at this point. Their last semi-hit was Sneakers and their sales nosedived with Born to Be and GOLD compared to Kill My Doubt.

I don't think it's a matter of not caring for many fans. The majority of Kpop fans on social media literally don't know how Korean charts work, so to them, if their faves are ranking high on the charts it's great. If they're not, they don't care and move on to enjoy the content their faves release. Of course, there are some fans that desperately want their faves to rank high on domestic charts because they have before, and will pretend like they don't care to take the heat off their faves if they underperform. But they make up the loud minority imo. We can disagree on that part though.

Solid bop, but probably somewhere towards the bottom of their title tracks. This is one of the rare times in their discography that multiple b-sides are better songs than the title track.
