Go take a listen to "yes i am" or "hip", then listen to nxde or even tomboy, they're bringing similar topics to the table. Not that hard to get.

My girls barely 25 and y’all calling them mothers PLEASE
That's a little bit disrespectful for people that have kids at that age lol

They truly paved the way.
Blackpink for obvious reasons.
Twice made survival shows a thing and put hype to foreign member lines in kpop girl groups (you're welcome Sakura).
Mamamoo put the female empowerment idea in the map, first big group to bring self written songs and Hwasa solified a more westernezed fashion along with Blackpink. Nowadays we can see G-idle being a more fresh version of MMM.
Stan legends, stan 3rd gen

I agree with you this time. It's very annoying

Gfriend, MMM and OMG managed to chart well, however not even at the same time.
Um Oh Ah Yeah was pretty big even before Gfriend's peak. Then Rough and You're the best both smashed domestic charts almost at the same time. It was RV the group that wasn't doing that well by that time.
But anyway, I think bgs were the ones that had the hardest time to stay relevant. Ikon, Winner, Pentagon, Monstax, etc etc. All of them are pretty much forgotten now.

ofc i'm not including 2nd gen songs

Big Hits:
Dolphin - Oh my girl
Hype boy - Newjeans ( so far)
Mid tier hits:
Cookie - Newjeans
My bag - Gidle
Pretty Savage - Blackpink
Don't know what to do - Blackpink
All songs reached the top 10 on melon's daily chart, except for My bag, Illusion, Pretty Savage and Don't know what to do.
Blackpink: 3 songs
Newjeans: 2 songs
Aespa, Gidle, Mamamoo, OMG: 1 song
Let me know if i'm missing someone here.
