So before you come at me, I do realise that they're currently one of the most popular 4th gen girl groups. What I'm saying is that somehow they don't feel like it. If you showed me just their music and performances, I'd say they're mid-tier at best. Their music and image lacks....something? Itzy brought something new to the table, and so have Idle, and Aespa. IVE's music and concept is okay but doesn't have that something the other three do.

maybe because they're still very new.

They were just SUPER lucky with the timing of their debut. The charts were empty which gave them the perfect time to win fast. Then people are like "wow they won so quickly, they must be a big thing" so everyone started checking them out. A similar phenomenon happened with (G)i-dle. Had either groups debut while their was lots of competition on the charts, they'd likely be mid tier today. So I get what you're saying. I just wish Korea checked out these mid tier groups more because they have the best quality music.

Y’all are saying that because they aren’t from the big4 noted
You guys have to deal IVE is indeed a popular group. They were just SUPER lucky with the timing of their debut. The charts were empty which gave them the perfect time to win fast. And bla bla and bla eleven is still in the top 20 after 5 months despite all the big releases.
Their 1st cb was competing with BB, Gidle, Taeyeon, Psy...and they still stable you have nothing to back your points but you still managed to say more bs

I think you don't feel like they're popular because they just debuted and it's strange how a group that's 6 months old is doing this good and being so popular.
Plus, it's ok to not feel it, maybe it's just because you don't really like the members or the songs they released.. there's many groups who feel like that for me too, when they're just not to your style.

I really liked Eleven and kinda liked Love Dive.
I do agree that their music is a bit overrated, there are a lot of 4th gen group songs that are as good or better, but i dont care. Wonyoungie and Yujinie deserve everything, they busted their asses and are still busting their asses literally bleeding for what they've accomplished.

it's always amusing to see the stress IVE gives to big 4 stans and how they try to rationalize it. My guess is the internal monologue goes something like this: "Shit, look at these insane numbers, shit the album sales are insane too, damn why are there so many articles and trends?! F*ck me, even though they surpassed my faves, I don't feel anything because they just aren't my faves so they don't feel popular at all. Smh."
