I think they will eventually, and I'm saying this as a huge Sistar fan.
I'm glad they are doing so well. This is almost reminiscent of SNSD vs Sistar back in 2nd gen where Sistar has a string of hits that could rival a Big 3 group. The difference is that IVE has way way better physical sales and I think it's a matter of time they surpass their seniors

And the battle was really strong indeed. There were 2 years, 2012 and 2014 for example where Sistar even won best GG, even against SNSD/2NE1. They were the only ones (besides Brown Eyed Girls I think) that won MAMA that didn't not come from a Big 3 group.
Those 2 years were absolutely huge for Sistar. Both of Sistar releases in 2012 (Loving U) were the 2 biggest idol hits on Gaon in 2012. 2014 they had Touch My Body/I Swear, and Soyou's massive hit Some.
I think if Starship play their cards right and continue to also give them good songs, they are bound to be remembered as the top GGs of their generation just like their seniors

yes yes totally see it too, plus we are in different era where kpop fans buy albums like crazy, so agree fully. I still remember how Touch my body took kpop with a storm, other gg fans weren't expecting that haha
