1. Korean beauty standards and indian beauty standards are pretty much the same. I cannot tell u how many indian actresses who can barely act I've watched who are on the screen just because they're pale skinned and pretty. Some people say it's getting better and india is moving away from their pale skin obsession and appearance obsession but I dont see it irl and all kpop idols would thrive here.
2. Kpop and kdramas are already pretty big in India so it wouldn't be like they would even have to really push their groups here. Just the bare promotions would bring in a lot of profit.
3. All these other companies are stupidly fighting for western validation when bts still hasn't won a Grammy š they're never going to realize the west is too racist so while all the companies are targeting the west, targeting india means less competition and india would be/is already way more accepting.
4. Indian fandoms are super supportive. Literally whenever I go to the movie theaters, the hype is insane. People will literally scream and whistle and cheer for 10 minutes straight as soon as their favorite movie star comes on the screen. If a big movie star has released a movie, just expect very long lines from dedicated fans. This applies to music as well. The fandoms are pretty respectful to the actual celebrity but aggressive in their support for the celebrity.
