Is negativity the reason for the forums’ lack of activity or the opposite?

People said negativity is what drives people away from the forums. But I always see the controversial posts are the ones that receive the most activity. In the old forums as well. So are negative/controversial opinions actually important to generate more activity for akp?

I Personally don't think so. The forum has always been toxic but that didn't hinder any activity before.

Though people would like it more over here if they had positive experiences, imo people stick around because they want to talk to their friends or talk about their faves.
