Huh. Totally not expecting what it meant, 'plastic fan'.
Is it something different, or is this just another name for 'success stan'?

I'm a baribie girl
in a barbie world
life is plastic it's FANtastic
We call 'em "success stans" 'round these parts.
And don't make me actually say the group that has the most shooters in Kpop lol. Instead, let's just say the group's name rhymes with "TangBan-nonyeonSan"
There are also success stans that stan any act that can surpass/compete with groups that they hate, right?
I can’t name names but let say the stan’s name rhymes with “mouse” or “louse”
There’s also fans that like to dump any group that became successful or hate groups that are successful because artists supposed to be struggling and not successful lol
This kind have a weird inferiority complex of liking nugu groups coz that will make them feel special
That’s plastic too because you stan based on perception and image, not on what you like.
I think you'll be hard pressed to find a pure plastic fan on forums. It's not that hard to get to know about groups because of the constant updates here. It would be easier to find such Stans IRL.
But there are sure a lot of bandwagon stans who will follow anything popular and leave them when their hype dies down.
Sad but it's true, every kind of fans exist.
It is what it is
Well I guess the group with the most fans will most likely have the most "Success Stans"" given the ratio. I think there will always be people who get hyped on a song that is on everyone's radar at a given time and want to be a part of the excitement. But most of what makes a group successful are the die hard fans who helped them with the success. A group will also gain fans who aren't die hard and then become extremely loyal in the future.
I think extreme plastic fans don't ever have one ult group. Their loyalty jumps around on what is popular but I also think people who are quick to say they stan a group or whatever, aren't as into kpop or really just can't pick a favorite so they don't usually know any history.
No one group will have only have plastic fans or a high majority of plastic fans. No group would be consistently successful if that were the case in my opinion. But the bigger the group, the more people who jump on the band wagon of their success/hype when their title tracks come out and the more people who end up losing interest.
