Yes and no.

People with dual citizenship have until 18 to choose which country.

In the case of Taecyeon, he was never a citizen of the US, but a “permanent resident.”

Taecyeon was born in Korea and emigrated to the US as a kiddo, so he had a US permanent visa (ie a green card). He gave up his green card to remain a Korean citizen, but he was already a Korean citizen. Permanent residents of the US remain citizens of their original country.

Mark and Johnny were born in the Canada and US as citizens. So they have never been Korean citizens…
