ive been in the kpop scene for years and know many idols ( probably not very nugu nugus ) and I've never heard of him
and im sure many others havent either
so yeah he's not popular
The op said why is jungwon so popular in enhypen not why is he so popular.You've been in the kpop scene for years but they've only been in the industry for one year.

Well, the thing abt Enhypen is they are almost balanced in popularity. Belift is making sure of that. They dont have much fans in SK. Their strength is their intl market esp Japan & SEA countries.
In SK - It’s JW, SH, SN, Hee. They are gatekeeping Hee to make sure it doesnt become Hee all the time
Japan- Ni-ki, SH, Hee . If u based on previous solo jacket album last year released, Hee is on top but obviously Ni-ki is most famous in Japan
Philippines/Indonesia- majority of their core fandom. It definitely belongs to Heeseung. He is the only kpop idol that were part of the most searched korean artist/actor in the country , part of top 10. While Enhypen as a grp is top 8.
Other SEA countries- it’s almost even but based on PC value it’s probably Hee, SH, Jay.
China- they dont have yet a lot of fans but go big & go home made an impact in China. Based on Chinabars sales , It’s Heeseung on top, followed by SH.
Latin America- Heeseung & Sunoo are the only members that trended there. So i guess, it’s them
Merchs & Mags cover sales- Heeseung. It’s probably because his fans are older. Hee stans are also the richest among all sub-fandom. They donate the biggest to fanbases.
Votings/Birthday ads- Nothing beats Heeseung on this . Over 150 ads around the globe.
Tiktok Likes- Official videos ,it belongs to the 02 Lines- SH, Jay, JK . But fanmade videos - It’s Heeseung coz of Fever era. Many tiktokers went crazy on that bed scene & the era that gave them a lot of fans
Instagram- This belongs to O2s again. They have looks that are instagram ready & bf material vibe.
Twitter- though he rarely posts, Heeseung got the biggest engagements & highest likes.
V-Live actual Live views- Heeseung again esp his birthday V-Live
YT- Based on latest CB individual fancam, obviously it’s Ni-ki ( Japanese is really good in streaming & loyal), JW & then Hee . His fans are also younger hence more time to stream.
Overall , I would say the most popular is Heeseung, Sunghoon & Ni-Ki. SH has an edge in SK , Ni-ki in Japan & Heeseung SEA & China.Hee w/ a slight edge coz his fans have more money . But the rest are not far behind
JW is generally well-liked by OT7 fans & subfandom but his own subfandom is the weakest though 2nd richest since his merchs next to Hee are also always sold out. But his individual votings, birthday ads are the least among the grps . U need to have a solid subfandom in order to win.He is also the only member that did not trend yet worldwide. Since his strength is in SK, Belift is giving him a lot of gigs to ensure that no one is far behind in terms of popularity .
