Sm is the smartest company

    Sm is the smartest company out of big 3 or 4 and I say this from an unbiased non sm company stan pov. As soon as blackpink leave yg and bts leave hybe it's unsure where the companies will place. Both bts and blackpink are carrying their companies hard. I think it's similar to twice for jyp but I'm not sure how popular stray kids are maybe jyp can lean into them if twice were to disband but I don't see itzy or nmixx reaching twice status at anytime. Now if red velvet were to leave sm it will be ok since aespa have already surpassed them and then they have nct who is beneficial. Also something I notice with sm idols they tend to stick around way past their contract so I highly doubt red velvet will disband anytime soon (look at snsd and heck even boa).

    I'm failing to see what is smart about waiting BTS & BP to disband. If that's their thought process they are doomed and admitted defeat lol

    What's up today with sm threads? ^^ YG has been a top company for years, I'm sure their new gg group will do well, seeing how much money bp is making as influencers/models i can see yg pushing their new group for that side too.


    Hybe will take a big hit (pun unintended) if bts ever disband, not matter how many groups they debut but they won't go bankrupt, they can always debut groups until making enough profit. BTS will stay here for long time anyway, they can pull an arashi and keep singing dynamite until they are 40 years old

    OP is saying if blackpink or bts leave their respective companies, those companies would suffer a lot, but if any group leaves sm, the company won't suffer because they don't put all of their eggs in one basket.

    Now that i think about it, yg hasn't been a company to handle too many groups active at the same time. They only have bp and treasure and they aren't that active compared to other groups


    Before someone mentions their other groups, they are barely active as group less even than bp or treasure

    How is it smart if its advantage is bts and bp is leaving its respective companies. Kpop has reslly damaged people’s logic

    For Hybe, true. they will take a huge damage if BTS ever leaves, but not for YG.

    Last time I checked, people were saying the same thing about BB leaving YG but nothing happened. They can create another GG like BP as long as they have Teddy and YG team lol

    While teddy and yg do have hand in the initial success of bp, bp is bp because of the members mostly and their loyal af fandom, something no yg group ever achieved not even bb and I am not gonna say they will never be surpassed but its not gonna happen soon and certainly not from yg ever. Yg just got lucky with them.

    oh yeah, it's because BP is their current only GG. just wait until their ygngg to debut and get full promo like BP's debut, you will see it lol

    This proves how much of an anomaly BTS and Blackpink are. Their success are due to the idols and not the company. I feel if any of SM idols debut from another label, they won’t be as huge.


    SM probably is the smartest company in the way of polishing their acts and giving them music and making super groups to attract loyal fans.
