as a skinny guy I can only understand the guy's view on this
imo he's too patronizing
should be more direct and honest
should be as comfortable with his gf as his best friends and family right?
most guys are tolerant towards their gf's weight gain at first so assuming this guy is at the point he thinks his gf might cross the point of no return, he SHOULD make her aware of her situation if he realizes she's constantly living in denial

Exactly. Giving a powder that’s honestly does nothing is a terrible way to communicate. Just be straightforward.

yeah
the powder thing makes it seem condescending rather than actual concern
Outside the box thinking as always.
Out of the closet thinking :P
if he has a problem with my weight gain I'd hope he would talk to me in a sensitive way that didn't make me feel like a fool
if he sent me a weightloss drink like that, it's practically something a bully would do, I'd be upset and I'd know he would have known it would upset me and a guy who didn't care to do that to me isn't one I want to date
so many marriages
so many divorces!!!
We have been dating a boy for two years now. It seems to be a good relationship, but once in an argument he said that I had gained weight. He also said that it does not change his attitude to me and he loves me, but it would be good to lose weight... Now we are ok, and he even says that I have lost weight. But the residue remains... I can't forgive these words, because the topic of excess weight has always been a sore point for me. I was teased at school about it. I wouldn't say I'm overweight now, I look fine, just a little tummy. But it did affect my self-esteem.
