It’s hardly going to matter. Pre orders are based on store orders. That’s the bulk of it. So if you’re a million seller the stores know you’ll sell that much and place an order for that anyway.

It is unreasonable especially from business perspective. People save money to buy albums and doing this will consume more time for the album to get to the customers and much more unnecessary work. The hype will go down and it is harder to count the sales as they need to wait for the album to get ship to get the total sales and that consume more time. Obviously it will hurt the business especially big business like this. And the store will order based on the group reputation after all.
