What have been the biggest fanwars since the 3rd and 4th gen

    Fanwars have always been a part of K-pop. While some fanwars resemble more just a battle - intense, heating up but then fading away just as quickly - other fanwars look more like long, drawn out wars and feuds that transcend generations.


    What have been the biggest fanwars of the past years:


    - HYBE stans vs SM stans?

    - JYP stans vs SM stans?

    - JYP stans vs YG stans?

    - Once vs Blinks?

    - ARMY vs Blinks?

    - ARMY vs EXO-L?

    - iKonics vs Innercircles?

    - other groups?


    Which ones do you recall?

    Even more interesting, how did they start, and why did some keep going? Or why are some still happening?

    Is it because some lifelong hatred towards a group and their fans, a deep aversion of a company, its groups or their fans? Or is it triggered by incidents or what's being said by fans of other groups, especially if they're said by fans of certain groups?

    They're worth mentioning. YG set them up, having Winner and iKON compete with eachother, and the fans picked it up fighting against eachother for some time. A small group of fans of the one even went so far to infiltrate into the fan club of the other, to bait flamewars and have other kpop fans start to hate that fandom and their idol group.

    I wasn't aware of Mys vs reveluvs, or Armys vs VIPs.

    It feels like those were very minor clashes, certainly compared with the bigger fanwars going on like Mys vs Midzy and Once or Armys vs EXO-Ls.

    the 3rd gen:

    armys vs blinks is definitely the biggest one overall

    armys vs exols was the biggest among bg vs bg fandoms but is now pretty much dead due to exo's inactivity

    blinks vs onces is the biggest among gg vs gg fandoms


    other honourable mentions from the 3rd gen are

    onces vs reveluvs

    armys vs nctizens



    the 4th gen:

    mys vs enhypen stans - the new blinks vs armys, even though it's far from being as brutal

    mys vs midzys - the new blinks vs onces

    hybe stans vs sm stans is nowadays a huge thing for some reason, i don't see why someone would be defending a corporation trying to steal their money every way possible with their life but whatever makes them happy ig

    Mys vs reveluvs mostly on Twitter Reddit and YouTube the reveluvs and mys on akp are multi or hide their toxicity in anon about each other. Army vs VIP is old like 2016 or 2017

    I think armys vs VIPs may be worse than armys vs blinks.

    VIPs hated on BTS from early start on some stupid points like hair colour. But the worst was during gda, VIPs and one of big bang’s relative called BTS out for copying them when it was gda who made the set. But the scandal was so big that BTS since then has never shown up at gda awards again. So I don’t think it’s just a mere fanwar issue.

    I've been wondering about that one too. HYBE stans vs SM stans vs JYP stans vs YG stans, it feels so weird to see company stans go off against eachother.


    But outside of the financial report threads, I think it's more like that a number of fans stan or identify with more groups of the same company, and then start to bash the groups and their fans of the company that they see as the biggest threat and competition of the multiple groups of the same company that they themselves support.


    Like how JYP gg stans constantly attacked SM ggs and Blackpink and the other way around, and how HYBE bg stans and SM bg stans constantly fight against eachother.
