Because they release really good music. Key with those groups (skz, enhypen and txt) is that they don't only have good title tracks, they also have just as awesome or sometimes even better bsides. That makes more people listen to their full albums. And since everyone praises them for the quality of their music, people get more and more curious and check them out. After they stumble upon their music, they become consistent in listening to their music therefore the always big monthly listeners.
Enhypen, as example, ever since debut never fell lower than 4.5M listeners despite the months without any activity. It shows people keep listening to their music all the time, not just after release

K-pop is expanding and 4th gen is the new big thing

If you want real answer then ask mods to approve this. They are sensitive towards 4th gen groups and treat them like babies.
The main reason is they are not direct competition to bts. Kpop's casual listeners are armys so whoever armys decide to stream have more monthly listeners. Exo have 5million peak mls but 8million followers. Nct, seventeen, monsta x have more followers than peak mls. Because they don't have kpop's casual listeners aka armys streaming their music. These groups are direct competition to bts so armys don't stream them. Enhypen, txt, stray kids, ateez are not direct competition to bts so kpop's casual listeners armys stream them. All of them have more monthly listeners than followers. The difference between 3rd and 4th gen are armys.
Look at iu. She had 7million mls when she collabed with bts suga. Her followers were only 4.5milliion and peak mls were 4million Today she has 5.5million followers but her peak mls didn't cross her follower number after that collab. Eight is still her most streamed song on spotify.
It is not music. Exo released their best song ever runaway. Nct released their best album. Seventeen released most gp friendly song better than stray kids, txt, ateez, enhypen. But they don't have kpop's casual listeners armys streaming them.

Funny how you wrote a whole essay just to put down 4th gen groups.
Trust me, armys don't move the way you all think and I'm telling you that as an army myself. We stream either girl groups songs or western artists (who currently aren't competing with bts). So no, your perception is completely wrong.
Every number you see of those groups are thanks to their own fans and people who enjoy their music. Stop trying to invalidate their results by bringing up armys,it's pathetic

the reason for the increase of ML for Enhypen is not because of armys it’s because of the curated playlist ( K-Daebak -3.4 followers,It’s a Hit -2m, Hot Hits Phils- 4.3 M followers to name a few) when some of their songs are added when it became viral. It happened in Fever and now in Polaroid Love. Fever is still part of many curated playlist and Polariod Love is being added and bumped up on the list. Both went viral in Tiktok. The FBs are telling us to stream from those curated playlist so it will stay there and switch to our own playlist . They have now 6.1 MLs and currently on top for 4th Grb
I bet it happens in Txt and Skz since they had some viral songs as well and were added on those curated playlist. I saw some if their songs from the list.

iu never peaked at 7M. she peaked at 6.5M monthly listeners when she released her lilac album. she currently have 5.8M mls and 6M followers. do you expect her not to gain followers everyday?

If armys only stream girlgroups then why other groups who are not direct competition to bts do well but not those who are direct competition to bts. Both have same sales. Some 3rd gen groups have better sales. The only difference between 3rd gen and 4th gen and armys. Admit it.
If the numbers are due to their fans and people who enjoy their music why are they not following them on spotify. Like 3rd gen groups have more followers than mls they should also have more followers than mls but it is opposite because those streaming them are not their fans. Just armys adding them to their playlists to avoid filtering.
Thank you for helping me prove my point. Iu overall peak mls is 6.5million when her peak followers are 5.8million. Iu before suga collab has 4million followers but gets 6million peak mls. This just proves kpop's casual listeners are armys. They are part of why 4th gen boygroups have more peak mls than followers which doesn't happen with 3rd gen boygroups because they are direct competition to bts.

First of all, BTS has no competition. I don't know what groups you're talking about because literally no one's spotify metrics come any close to bts' so armys have nothing to fear. Even if half of our fandom stream " bts' competition" it still won't be a threat to bts so no, armys aren't preventing themselves from streaming those boy groups. Most of them either focus fully on bts or those who are multis simply listen to the groups they like.
now about your question about how "nobody is following them on Spotify". If people majorly like 1-2-3 songs from an artist, there's no need for them to follow them. Those 4th gen groups have really versatile discographies, suiting different tastes. Let's take for example enhypen. They have two big hits, one of them is Fever and the other is Polaroid love. Those songs attract people who check out their albums and there come the increasing monthly listeners. Out of all that big amount of people, not everyone might like each of their songs enough to subscribe. They will just keep listening to those few songs of them that they enjoy. It's common sense, if you fail to understand it and continue disregarding everyone's good results then you simply want to keep playing oblivious.
