What’s up with the big 3 superiority complex on here? When it’s been proven to not be true multiple times?

  • did those groups able to do wide scale of tour? Album sales need to deducted with the album production expense which is more expensive.

In covid era, I believe groups that charting well are bringing more money and relevance than a group who sells well but can't chart. Since charting well means that they will get more cfs. Cfs income >>> everything else.

My point about touring wasn't say It was the most relevant measure of success, this is another discussion. I was just explaining to OP that what makes a Top group is being able to be successful in more than one metric, while having a well-balanced performance.

  • Your comprehension is poor. Not sure if English is your first language?

I never said all these groups are at the peak of KPOP right now.

But ALL of them are/have been successful when active - well beyond the majority of groups.

Sure, there are outliers like BTS & Hybe groups, MNET groups, DSP groups in gen 1/2, Starship, Cube, FNC etc but the majority of the top groups in any generation, boy or girl, are from the Big 3.

And for those of you who are now saying the Big 4 - this just reinforces what I said when you add Hybe groups in to the mix.

As for the groups that you tried to drag.....

    • Got7 was a successful group... top 5 or 6 at their peak, top 15 in all time albums sales I believe?
    • Stray Kids is arguably the biggest 4th gen boy group atm
    • Winner - again, a successful group at their peak, some massive hits
    • Ikon - as above, though probably less so
    • NCT - sold the most albums this past year. Not sure how you think they aren't successful when they are the biggest boy group right now not called BTS.
    • Itzy are a top two 4th gen girl group regardless of whether they have declined, and still probably top 6 or 7 right now. The groups they are probably behind are Blackpink, Twice, Red Velvet, Aespa, Oh My Girl, maybe Mamamoo. Guess what, most are Big 3.
    • Miss A were probably top 10 gen 2. But then the top 15-20 gen 2 groups can be called successful compared to to huge number of groups that debuted and flopped.

Prada, Celine, Louis Vuitton and Valentino don’t seem to be too worried about NCT’s charts.

    :pepe-tea:

  • Big 3 company groups are no better than small /mid sized company groups.

There are so many groups with so much potential and talent but they're unable to make it big cus their companies lack resources. I don't get the hype about Big3 groups.
