- TXT: i didn't like 0X1=Lovesong, boring af. don't know the rest.
- Enhypen: I liked Fever. Drunk-Dazed was fine too.
- Stray Kids: can't remember what I heard from them.
- aespa: too messy; overrated.
- ITZY: too weak from a vocal standpoint which holds them back but a good song repertoire nonetheless; great performers, lots of charisma.
- IVE: promising.

currently, only txt intrigues me, from music to the members' personalities
I'm not into Stray kids music, but I like the members and sometimes I watch their other content.
I'm interested in IVE and the members seem nice, but I need more content and then look if I'll fully stan

I love aespa, itzy and stray kids music
they are also very talented
-
Musically wise, my favorite groups are txt, enhypen and itzy. I happen to like songs from all of the groups above but those three are the groups with best discography imo.
Now about talents, aespa truly has very beautiful vocals which I admire. Stray kids have a great rap line while Enhypen are 7/7 main dancers material which is very admirable. Itzy's stage presence is on a whole another level, they're very good at it. We haven't seen that much of ive yet but they're very charismatic and nice.
If I had to pick favorite gg and bg, it would be enhypen/itzy simply because their music and personalities are most interesting to me.
I am Op btw, just wanted to make a separate post from the main one

My favourite 4th gen group is Itzy, they're the best performers out of 4th gen. I can really feel their joy and passion while dancing. Their songs are hit or miss (Loco was a hit tho).
Aespa are okay, their concept is really interesting and different. I really liked BM but NL and Savage weren't that good imo. Tbh the only member that interests me is Ningning.
Ive are okay too. I liked eleven, it was not bad. But again the only interesting member is Yujin, she's very charismatic.
-
-txt - I like their songs not sure if they are the top bg
-enhypen - Sad to admit I don't know them
-stray kids - Some hits it's okay
-itzy - they are okay
-ive - i don't know enough to have an opinion
-
Musically wise, personality wise, success wise basically, what is your opinion about the following groups? You don't have to reply for each group if you're too lazy lol, so:
-txt
-itzy
-ive
music
- txt - they have good music and are one of the few boy groups giving us something new
- enhypen - I like their title tracks but I've never listened to their bsides
- stray kids - they make noise. sometimes it's good noise, sometimes it's simply not giving
- aespa - my favourite musically wise. might be noise music but it's quality noise music with a high replay value
- itzy - I love their title tracks but their bsides are a hit or miss for me.
- Ive - they have only 2 songs so far so idk what to say about them except both songs served and I'm still jamming to them
personality
- txt - i like kai's humour. the clips i've watched are funny and they seem to be nice people- enhypen - I haven't seen any of their variety/reality shows so I can't comment on them
- stray kids - all of the boys seem genuine and nice. i like their chemistry and bang chan's honesty. not many idols are as open to their fans as him
- aespa / itzy / ive - since I watch mostly their content, I'm putting them together. all the girls are cute and funny. I'm having the time of my life every time I watch their videos. they look like genuinely nice people and have great chemistry with each other.
success
- txt / itzy - i call them the representative 4th gen groups. every time someone says 4th gen my first thought is "txt and itzy"
- stray kids / enhypen - mainly fandom driven groups, i don't think anyone except their fans cares about their music
- aespa - arguably the biggest 4th gen group now
- ive - it's still early to say but the fact they're put together with the other established 4th gen groups 2 months after debut tells me they're doing more than fine for now

txt - don't interest me at all tbh. Their songs are mostly underwhelming to me, it took me 5 listens at most to get tired of their songs I've heard. Also no offense but there's also something to their music that feels 'corporate' in a way basically no other kpop group does to me? I'm not particularly astonished by their skills, sure they're good dancers and they're overall decent but not what I'd expect of a big company group. (I think the issue is that they're kind of unbalanced, or at least the way their output is designed doesn't show everyone's strengths.) idk what personalities they have but my faves are friends with some of them so I guess they must be likeable
enhypen - I often feel like their songs have potential but as the song progresses it feels like those ideas that appealed to me are not utilised well enough…so yeah they're somewhat underwhelming to me musically, too. Skill-wise, they're also good at dancing, they're ok performers but there's definitely a lot of room for improvement when it comes to vocals.
stray kids - a perfect group imo. Members are talented/skilled in every field. Their performances are a joy to watch, I get the feeling they were born to do this. Group chemistry off the charts. And their music is just so good, there's something really addictive about their entire discography, there's a lot of replay value to it. I love how they're always trying new things and not afraid to be different. And their lyrics are so good too. I anticipate their comebacks this year a lot
aespa - I think I like one song of theirs in total. Theoretically I should love the concept of "a girl group with kind of unusual music and crazy lore" but their music simply doesn't click with me, it's not executed the way I wish it was. I love Ningning's vocals though. Skill-wise overall they're not bad at all, they should work on their performance skills a bit and they'll be ok.
itzy - I don't like most of their songs but they're very charismatic on stage and just great at performing, so much they made me genuinely enjoy a MITM stage, one of my biggest disappointments of 2021. Some people bring up that their vocals/rap could be better, but tbh I don't mind, they're kind of a specialised group, I think it's good they excel at something. I don't know a lot about their personalities but I sometimes see clips from them on my timeline, they're funny and seem nice
ive - I didn't like Eleven that much. I don't have further opinions about them.
-
- stray kids / enhypen - mainly fandom driven groups, i don't think anyone except their fans cares about their music
thank you for sharing your opinion! I just wanted to throw in that for enhypen, they're very well known outside their fandom for their bsides. Their fever bside went viral last summer and currently their newest bside polaroid love is also going viral both in korea and internationally. But both skz and enhypen have very strong fandoms true
-
stray kids - they make noise. sometimes it's good noise, sometimes it's simply not giving
I don't think you should be talking about their music lmao… if you listened to more than 5 songs you'd know not all of them are loud/busy (which are great songs too ofc), on NOEASY 5 out of 14 songs could be considered to be on the more energetic side of things, on In Life, also 5 or 6 out of 17, and you can't even say they don't promote a diverse variety of their music because they had title tracks like Levanter too, and usually promote a b-side on music shows that's very different from the title track (like Ex or The View)
I just don't get why you admit for other groups that you don't know their music very well but then embarrass yourself like this
stray kids / enhypen - mainly fandom driven groups, i don't think anyone except their fans cares about their music
yet skz have the most monthly listeners on spotify for 4th gen bgs and also do well on youtube and tiktok, they do have a lot of casual listeners too, thank you.
