Approved the thread. -
Brave Girls won't have sustained success. They are the Crayon Pop/Momoland of these few years. Take them out.
Red Velvet haven't declined. That they've gone from 3 to 4 after over a year and a half of effective hiatus and scandals is not a drag.

Too 4 had hit songs in 2020 or 2021
6. Twice
7. IVE
8. StayC
5-8 did decent (IVE here because I believe next CB will be a hit)

It's incredible and sad how Twice Itzy and Red Velvet have declined.
Wrong.
Brave Girls aren't doing well at all in their last few comebacks.
Red Velvet had a hit song in 2020, their song Psycho charted the highest for gg songs on Gaon's Year End chart for 2020 (#9), higher than any other gg song.
StayC songs performed better on Korean charts than TWICE songs.
IVE is too new, let's wait until their next comeback where they really stand.
Why are GIdle not mentioned? They're having a hit song right now.
The actual Top 10 based on Korean chart performance of the past 2 years should be something like this:
1. BP
2. Aespa
3. Oh My Girl
4. Brave Girls
5. Red Velvet
6. GIdle
7. StayC
8. TWICE
9. ITZY

Of course of course let’s go ask Koreans on the streets who they know better, StayC vs Twice, Aespa vs Twice and Blackpink vs Twice and we’ll see if any of them truly edge out Twice by a huge margin in general public notability
Even with no hit songs in the past few years Knetz who hate Twice after their encore “scandal” still say Twice alongside IU are the ones who could sell out that huge venue in Korea that no female artist has ever done.

You're confusing 2 things with eachother: popularity in SK and song performance on Korean charts.
While a group's popularity and digitals can and will influence eachother, they're still 2 separate things.

Yet Koreans would rather listen to aespa than twice when both release music.

Lmao. Let's ask who's more well known - a 7 year old group or a couple of rookies.
Not even what the thread is about.

Wrong.
This is the updated list
1. BP2. Aespa
3. Oh My Girl
4. Gidle
5. Red Velvet
6. StayC
7. Brave girls
8. TWICE
9. ITZY
Gidle got a rak and can potentially get a pak they’re clearly still loved. Red velvet has great consistently, there last comebacks have been getting top 5/10s. StayC are doing ok they keep rising and dropping fast, but they’re doing a lot better than brave girls who’ve just fell off. Twice declined. Itzy is endgame. Ive needs a comeback and nmixx is something else.

Brave Girls rode the hype of a viral Youtube video (and fan lie that they have been together 10 years when the original line up was replaced). I wouldn't expect to see much more from them.
Red Velvet and Twice will always have a place. If they are falling off in Korea a bit, they're picking up fans internationally.
If you were looking at Korean stats why not include Girls Generation? The Korean public loves them.
But Blackpink, Aespa, Oh My Girl looks about right for top three.
