Aespa getting plagarised...?

I don't know if it's just me but I found the music video from a group extremely similar to aespa's mv I watched the first few seconds of it and I already felt like the aesthetics were almost the same lol

But I'm not here to discuss whether aespa is the original either. I knew aespa has been caught up with similar controversies as well, but I assume that it has been resolved lol

Any opinions?

I don't see it tbh. It's just popular aesthetics and aespa has a clear lore that is hard to replicate without looking so obvious (if someone has a villain called Dark Serpent for example). I also love that these themes are getting popular these days. One of the reasons I like aespa's aesthetics so much. I mean I can see some resemblances like the girl touching her reflection and the rocket puncher stuff but I don't see why inspiration is wrong for a concept that got popular.

Not plagiarism, but inspired by it seems. That street wear/cyber punk mashup has been around for a while, but the computer set up with the pastel set up seems directly inspired by aespa.

There are much more blatant cases of kpop mvs being copied (like that one video that was basically Just Right) for me to call this straight up plagiarism.

no i don't think it's plagiarism or even inspiration

it's just that Aespa have been the groups who popularize the Futuristic/ cyber punk aesthetic in music right now

so it's easy to feel that they are copying aespa, but i don't think

they are just using the type of cyber punk / futuristic aesthetic that you can usually see like with the use of pink, purple, blue color

the hacker concept etc..
