Is aespa's spotify streams as bad as people make it out to be?

    nope. anyway, not everybody goes there, there're other music platforms too. For me, I rather using youtube music and AM than spotify

    A quick look tells me no - at least for girl groups.


    Only Blackpink and Twice have significantly more monthly listeners. Red Velvet and Itzy have more, but not by that much.


    Individual songs wise, again, all of their song streams aren't far off the mark from the groups with a bigger western/US fandom.


    Consider as well that the only groups with better streams than them are the three biggest 3rd gen groups, and a 4th gen group that has had three years to grow their fandom.

    No, they are decent for k-pop group. But they are also not as good as their stans claim them to be

    - Aespa are just 13 months old and have 2 songs about to reach 100M streams on spotify (something Itzy couldn't do)

    - Black Mamba has the highest 1st day opening for a kpop debut song

    - @@@7478447c-bada-49d4-b9bc-505f43704758@@@ is about to be the fastest kpop group debut to reach 100M streams on spotify

    - They had a 5 million monthly listener peak at 11 months old (something Itzy couldn't do)

    - Their 'Savage' album had a bigger 1st week opening than any album Itzy ever released

    - Their song 'Savage' debuted with 1M+ streams in 24 hours and are the fastest 4th gen group to achieve this & did it in 11 months (maybe fastest kpop group in general but idk)

    - Fastest 4th gen girl group to reach 1M followers on spotify

    - Spotify chose 'Next Level' as best kpop song of 2021

    In conclusion, aespa are actually doing very well on spotify! They have broken many kpop records in a year and will do more in the future

    What's with the constant Itzy comparisons in this post? Itzy debuted in early 2019, 1.5 years before Aespa. KPOP grew massively on Spotify between 2019 and late 2020 - BTS and BP went from 20M and 10M monthly listeners to like 40M and 30M respectively in that time. IVE who debuted a year after Aespa are eating up Black Mamba in terms of longevity and peak on Spotify with their debut song. Aespa are doing okay, not as bad as people make it out to be, but no need to drag Itzy to hype your faves

    I think their streams are fine, we are now so used to some groups doing so well.

    Not necessarily. Spotify for kpop is heavily based on fandom. Aespa is new and as such have not had time to build a strong fandom. Give them another year and I think they'll be fine.

    I'm glad that others have started to wake up and realise it too, Once have been far harsher and vile towards other groups and fandoms while TWICE were at the top than Blinks have been (so far) while BP are at the top.

    Additionally, every noticed on the AKP primary site (with the articles) that all the female artists of the Big 3, like Blackpink, Aespa, Taeyeon, Lisa, GOT The Beat, have a constantly high amount of downvotes on their articles regardless what the topics were? Except for TWICE and ITZY.

    No. It is just low internationally EXCEPT Korea. They are always number 1 in spotify korea.

    To be fair, TWICE having many comeback clashes with many groups and so fandom fights with many groups, BP barely comeback so the fandom really has nothing to fight over lol.

    ITZY - MITM: 113M

    ITZY - LOCO: 94M


    Aespa - NL: 110M

    Aespa - Savage: 75M


    IVE - Eleven: 76M


    IDLE - HWAA: 42M


    STAYC - ASAP: 54M

    STAYC - Stereotype: 52M



    To answer the question of the thread. No, Aespa spotify streams dont look bad at all, dont know whose been saying that.

    Aespa is very close to ITZY.

    I can see IVE outstream all the other groups but that is because they have a megahit with Eleven.

    Blinks trying desperately to convince themselves their daily death threat fandom is more innocent than midzy, onces, my, etc. Literally no one agrees.

    Just by looking at the high ratios of certain groups and the down vote party for Taeyeon that its JYP stans doing the had down vote. Probably attacking black pink too but they fandom is big enough to counteract with up votes. Pretty pathetic tbh

    I've noticed that happening on the main page too.... The main page had an article about Lalisa with many downvotes without any reason because the article was about something ordinary. This pattern on the main page is obvious

    SM Stans fight with everyone on a daily basis, MYs the pariah of 4th gen fandoms literally absolutely hated and Blinks who fight with every fandom, every day but esp Army sitting and wondering why their articles get dislikes?


    Yeah, must be a JYPE stan conspiracy, idiots think before typing becuase once again your obsession is showing and you are making a fool of yourselves.


    Now you know Aespa streams must be garbage and their global charting is shit since they need to come in here and once again try to make this about JYPE stans.



    Like your bad streams aint company stans fault or some dislikes on a AKP article lol.
