Merry Christmas Eve? Do y'all celebrate Christmas?

Oh, my condolences, I'm so sorry to hear that

The music and the food is the good part

I associate Christmas with an opportunity to reflect on all that matters. Besides, I like the lights, the decorations, and even the music (to an extent / depends on the song).
You don't have to be religiously affiliated to celebrate or observe it. Has Christmas become so commercialized? Of course, but I'm not going to be cynical about that. It is what it is. We can choose to be miserable about it and criticize capitalism — how it hijacked the meaning and significance of a holiday — or we can choose to see the good in it.
For those who don't have family or friends to celebrate this time with, I sympathize, but I would hope there's a silver lining. It's up to us how we perceive it, and I would hope that we perceive it positively.

My family's not religious but the whole extended family gets together and has a lunch. I can't join this year due to covid though

Christmas is arriving too fast. I did significantly more than previous years to cherish the spirit, but still, I do think there was more I could have done.
Again, to reiterate, I don't care about the religious elements of Christmas, but it was always a time to think about friends, family, and the things I value most in life.
Christmas Day itself, I don't look forward to because it's a bit sad knowing I'll have to wait another year for the same festive mood to fill the air again.
