but in regards to emotional suffering…. that’s difficult. I think when you rely on someone who hurts or does worse to you, you might see it as normal. That kind of stuff falls under conditioning. and when that happens, I don’t see it as being “a masochist” due to the emotional manipulation and abuse. it’s entirely possible to be a masochist while being self assured and set boundaries for yourself.

but I might be heading into a different topic than what you’re putting forth. Still something worth considering I suppose.

Nah, I have fallen in love with guys who are sweet and kind.

There is this guy who has always been so sweet and kind towards me, and I used to crush on him. But he didn't feel the same way about me.

Some people feel more comfortable with cold personalities or not too talkative people, but if you see someone falling for someone who treats them badly it's not just they're masochists but they probably have some underlying issues that need counselling... or they have a kink.
