MAMA 2021 proves BTS was saving award shows

Bts had been doing them a favour by attending these korean shows glad they skipped it and made mama irrelevant lol

no? i checked them out and i wasn't interested. i actually knew bts since their debut, long before my own faves debuted so there was no bias involved.

i really don't understand why some of you are pissed at me for liking my faves more than bts lol. this is all about personal preferences, stop acting like we all are legally obliged to prefer bts over everyone else.

There were more issues with this year's MAMA

But MAMA was known for some of the best stages even before BTS debuted. MAMA was previously known as MKMF.

I've seen it all. Robotic emotionless performances are what their stans like on top of all that lip syncing too. When I forced myself to watch ONE NCT performance, I was questioning why that one rapper is even worst than Kai at overexaggerating but it must be an SM quality point their stans like.

MAMA ratings started to dropping off in 2016 after legendary taeyeon vs wiz khalifa beef. Stop thinking it's because bts was not attending lol.

MAMA and SM cancelled their special stages and the MAMA rating has been went downhill ever since

agree. I miss bts award show performances. They always deliver with their performances and their sets are always amazing.

This performance here is by three years old bts from five years ago T.T

Although I'd say 2018 is their best year. Jungkook walking in that white suit alone is just so iconic.

The decrease in ratings between this year and last is the same as between 2019 and 2020, when BTS were very much in attendance. Not exactly a sharp plummet lol

As for performances, there were still great ones with or without BTS. I dislike literally all of them but Big Bang did a lot more for MAMA ratings than BTS ever have

Also, I thought Armys were claiming last year that big groups were skipping awards because they didn't want to sit there and lose to BTS. Yet 3/4 of MMA daesangs went to other artists this year and the same groups didn't turn in 2021 either... BTS are not the center of the universe, shocking I know
