Has anyone here lost a loved one by cancer?

  • Let's say it won't give you any support. You'll look for a long time for like-minded people to drink tears into your pain, but it won't help. Some people leave, and those who are forced to carry this cross here in their lifetime. My loved one suffered from the rectosigmoid junction el 4 that slowly killed his pancreas. Then he got sick and began to feel worse. It seemed that he had very little left, but the man managed to live another four years with this ailment. It's hard to live knowing that you can let go at any moment and time you think it won't happen. Until one day, you realize that it can happen to you.

  • I get what u mean. My grandpa died of cancer. Chemo was supposedly going well and then suddenly cancer spread. He went to the hospital, things were looking better for a few days and then within 3 days tops he was dead and he detoriated very very fast. He wouldn't recognize anyone and didn't speak. It was heartbreaking to watch.

  • not cancer, but I have lost my uncle because of some type of heart disease

I have known he had heart disease but I have thought he became fine after the surgery. Didn't really expect him to leave us suddenly. But poor him was still bearing the pain for 5 years after surgery and just couldn't anymore. And also it breaks my heart seeing my grandparents losing their eldest son. Also it breaks my heart every time I see my mom reminiscing his brother. Its the first time I have lost someone who really close to me.

  • Yes. My father in law smoked for years, and like many smokers do, he developed throat cancer. Initial treatment was successful however, and he even got the all clear after some years. But then he started smoking again and eventually the cancer came back too. It was a lot more aggressive the second time around and spread incredibly quickly. He didn't make it.
