Do 4th gen lack the passion and stage presence ?

Compared to last year performances this year was tragic.

*no commanding of the audience

* no passion

*no personality

* can’t rap

* awk dancing

*no feeling

What went wrong? Is it the pandemic ?

maybe, but not Stray Kids!

You can deslike their style, but Stray Kids and ATEEZ are clearly very passionate and charismatic performers.

They lack charisma for sure.

Thery are no longer rookies but they still severely lack charisma and lipsync like there is no tomorrow.

SKZ, ATEEZ, ITZY are the only ones that have stage presence and passion for me.

but there are other 4th gen groups who have great stage presence but couldn't perform at MAMA such as purple kiss, pixy, mcnd etc.

The audacity of some people to call particular groups the leaders of 4th generation when they have the stage presence and charisma of a potato with great lipsyncing skills ….. anyways itzy is a delight , hopefully they have hit songs so they can show how it is to be a top group of a generation, looking forward to groups debuting next year because after mama I lost hope in the 4th gen groups now except itzy . They couldn’t even try to be charismatic

Itzy, Stray Kids, or Ateez were really good in that department.

The others... they weren't terrible, but yeah it could be something they could work on ig.

Maybe because they're maturing during the pandemic. Aespa is the biggest disappointment for me. I thought having a live audience would make them more lively and engage with the audience but it was just the same as a lifeless music show. It was very lackluster. Maybe a few more live performances will grow their confidence.

You're probably a 3rd gen stan being salty by how good 4th gen groups are already. First, isn't that common for groups to interact with the public during performances, I can only mention a few ones who use to do that like Big Bang, 2ne1, MAMAMOO, BTS (nowadays), and may there's someone else I'm forgetting now?

When you say things like these you really let it show your saltiness. I can't generalize but many 4th gen groups served exactly what you said they lack especially: ITZY, STRAY KIDS, ENHYPEN AND ATEEZ. Maybe your favorite group hasn't performed today and you are throwing your frustration on everyone to compensate for it.

TXT had problems with the camera work and Enhypen delivered everything that an awarded rookie must deliver with a fantastic performance, now when it comes to SM I've not much to say about it.

SKZ, ATEEZ are on par with Itzy stage presence, even sometimes ATEEZ are better today just they were lot tired due to packed schedule this year and looked less impactful due to minimal props

The title was never for talent or for dancing with stage presence . It was always the group with most outstanding success. Itzy good performers but flops in Korea, aespa bad performers but go no. 1.

Aespa had the charisma and stage presence of a cardboard in their MAMA performance yikes.

I think we should separate what's stage presence what's good performance direction. Those performances are planned by the company.

Happens that JYP idols always killed in that aspect not a fan, but I admit.

itzy performance was amazing, but honestly i didn't see it that much stage presence, i just see a hella good performance.

among them, the best stage presence in my opinion were brave girl's

4th gen down bad. the boy groups have no hit songs and the girl groups are lifeless with the exception of Itzy.

All of the 2nd and 3rd gen groups who are and were successful had some stage presence and lived up to the title as leaders of the gen, while Aespa so far isn't, hope my opinion change in the future

Enhypen and TXT are great dancers but for me they still lack the presence, i mean ateez did this when they were rookies on empty stage

u literally feel the presence and energy, but TXT and Enhypen are still young so they could wow me in the future, who knows

I dont even stan and idc about bgs overall but ateez are literally kings of stage presence so what are u talking about. Actually there are many 4th gen idols that are awesome on stage
