Yeah, romantic shippings can get really out of hand. I don't mind it if it's in a joking matter like all Twice "romantic" ships are or they are actually together but I don't like romantic shippings for any other reason.

Personally I find it childish. Matching up imaginary coupes is just wishful thinking on the part of fans. An idol can have female friends or chat to them on social media without being romantically involved. Some idols dislike it also and can be hurtful.

I don’t know why shipping is so big with idols because when they do date people get mad and call it a dating scandal and say that they can’t date which is so stupid.

The issue is never with shipping as friendship, or hyping up their cute/funny moments. Tbh it's not even enjoying some 'fan-servicy' moments on stage. The issue is with people taking it waaaay too far and being absolutely sure that two idols are dating and trying to 'prove it' in the most embarassing ways, lol.
