Like I'm not talking about lipsyncing to a backtrack, I'm talking about purposely recording a non-studio version of the song, with added "acting of breathing" and "oh my god his/her voice crack it's obviously live" bits to give the false impression of a live performance.
It wasn't really a thing back in 2nd Gen but it feels like over the years it's getting more and more popular. At least last time when groups lipsync it's so fking obvious that it's a backtrack they don't even bother hiding it, they be like "listen to this obviously autotuned backtrack of the stuiod version of the song IDGAF"
But now so many groups are hiding behind the facade of a "live performance" when it actually it isn't
Question now is, when did this actually happen? Like who paved the way for pre-recorded vocals?
