Why Dalla Dalla is one of the most iconic debut songs of all time
-
-
It's still an awful song imo
-
I love the lyrics, the choreo, the video..EVERYTHING.
ITZKONIC!!!!!
-
I mean I usually associate iconic with success and impact. People call Cheer Up 'iconic' because it was such a huge hit, even though it was released like what... 5 years ago? Dalla Dalla might not be Cheer Up level but as I said, I believe it's impactful enough to be called an iconic debut.
I think it can go both ways tbh, iirc, ITNW didn't do all that well initially but is iconic because many groups cover it. BGGG is covered alot as well.
really huh i've always considered that iconic had a timing element to it
that is one could almost say that a song cannot be iconic until much later in time for it to have iconic status
i think we all consider Dynamite to be the biggest and most impactful hit of 2020 but its been less than six months so i would in no way consider that iconic (yet)
so while i agree with the success aspects of DD i would say impact wise one might need to give it time

Song remains terrible
