I am sorry I know that many pro choice genuinely believe they are doing no harm but once life begins you should take responsibility or give up for adoption and I don't see any other way around it. I just think it is unintentionally ending life (for those who think it is just dead cells and stuff), I don't belong to any religion either so it is not by religuois norms that I think like this.

Abortion is the ultimate human rights violation.

Being pro life has always been and will always be about control over women's bodies.

would you still think the same if the woman was raped?
for me i would consider myself pro life but i do have exceptions which is if the mothers life would be in danger or if she got raped.

having abortion related to feminism is a corporate dream, slut shaming and gender roles are about control over woman's bodies, abortion isn't. But it is convenient and it brings revenue to a very shady industry, similar to petrol extraction disguised as war, it wouldn't be promoted if it weren't a market.

I'm pro-choice, I think a women's body is her choice. I'm not particularly religious so I have no extra meaning of life to a fetus that's not yet developed enough to be considered a person but I understand where someone's belief would affect that. Overall, I think we should try to reduce abortions by implementing better sex education and I'm not the type of "pro-choicer" who make a mockery of pro-life or make baby-killing jokes (distasteful). It's a complicated issues so I can respect both sides
I also think abortion clinics should go in with complete honesty to women potentially aborting, both physical and emotional impacts. It's not easy at all and nothing like taking birth control or a morning-after pill, people shouldn't treat it as some easy "pulling out some cells". But in the end, I think a women's body is her own choice and that it's not our business. So many kids already suffer in the foster system, I know some people who say they would rather have been aborted than had to go through what they went through. If a women can't properly take care of a potential child, I think it's completely her right to not force herself or a child to go through terrible situations
I wish one thing this topic would focus on is also being pro-life after birth and taking care of our abandoned/suffering children and also giving struggling mother's the help they need

I dislike abortion find it to connected to eugenics for my liking as well as seeing how many girls were aborted in China would probably make the white western feminists change their tune, as in many cultures you do not want a girl baby you want a boy baby. Also by USA stats, barely any abortions are due to rape or incest so I wonder why that's the big pro-choice argument.

yes we put as much thought, adoption is an option for that reason, you literally are not obligued to keep it if it really will take a big toll on your economy and life quality. There is an adoptionsystem, and there are a lot of independent organizations, my family supports a local adoption centre and I want to apply for foster care once I move out.

To Op or anyone pro life.
I get that wanting a fetus to live and grow is an admirable wish but why is then as soon as the baby is born the same people give zero fucks about its life from then on? The anti vax motion including MMR, maternity/paternity leave is not a right unlike in many other counties, absolutely nothing to prevent school shootings, shit healthcare and so on. All these things show adults in general don’t care for the well being of the kid growing up. Surely if you’re actually pro life you’d want every possible opportunity to make sure the kid has a good life instead of abandoning it like a mother who didnt want it but had to give birth.

i guess people would care more about a baby possibly dying then it live but have shit quality of life

It feels like some people are unaware that having a baby isn't just popping out a baby with no pain, and no endurance. Pregnancy isn't as simple as many think it is. Although medical science technology has much improved over the years, 9 months is a lot of time, and in 9 months a lot can happen. Everyone worries about the baby's wellbeing but what about the woman that has to bear it? Although there are many exceptions where a woman would absolutely need to abort it, such as medical issues that prevent a woman from properly having children without putting their life on the line.
It might be a little cruel to say this, but people are putting a barely living developed fertilized egg, over an actual living human being's rights and choice. Please if you are pro-life then you need to also not only be supportive of the child, but also supportive of the woman that didn't get to have a choice on her pregnancy journey.

You have nothing to regret really. It's just your point of view, and in my opinion, I think some pro-choice people need to calm down. I've met more decent and chill pro-life people than pro-choice people.
For me it's circumstantial. Sexual abuse is a valid reason for abortion, but unsafe sexual intercourse where both parties fully consented isn't. It's the couple's responsibility in that case.
Also I think some people glorify abortion which really sickens me to be honest. It isn't light-hearted at all and some people flex or joke about having many.
-
I'm pro abortion.
And no one can make me change idea about the fact that a baby born from non wanting parents will live the same life of a child born from the love of a mother or a father (or even only 1 of them). Just think about what the child will go through during his life thinking about why his parents never wanted him. Why no one loves him like he should be loved. Most children given to adoption don't even ever know about the reason they were left to another family or who their real parents are.
I prefer my baby to never be born and suffer a miserable life just because of someone's need of saving some cells that can't even be called a baby so early on in the pregnancy.
And I would also like to ask people who don't believe in abortion to stop saying that abortion is murdering someone, because it's not.
Deciding on abortion is legal and shouldn't be looked down upon. Is a choice that shouldn't be judged by people who aren't involved.

Additionally people confuse what pro choice is. Think carefully what you’re saying - “I won’t ever abort” or are you saying “I WONT EVER LET ANYONE ELSE ABORT AND THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD OWN PEOPLE’S BODIES BECAUSE I THINK A FETUS HAS THE SAME RIGHTS AS A HUMAN”
The first is not pro life. That’s poor choice. Your choice not to abort the child.
The second is what anti abortion is. You saying people cannot make rational decision based on their life choices. This can be because they cannot support a child for any number of reasons from mental to financial.
Don’t use words you don’t understand and i merely giving you the benefit of doubt here. If you really think #2 that YOU get to take the choice FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S BODY, then that just means you’re misogynistic or have internalized you misogyny. This is not a case of “oh it’s your opinion”
It’s not an opinion to say ALL WOMEN SHOULD THINK LIKE ME AND SHOULD DO AS I THINK AND I DECIDE THAT NO WOMAN WILL EVER ABORT A CHILD. (That BTW is what pro life means)

people can abort if they want and I do not mean to dictate them what to do, you believe it is a clump of cells so if you genuinely think that I hope for the love of the universe that you are right or at least fully think so without a doubt. I don't think like that but I'm not stopping anybody's free will and I don't think it is immoral on your part because of how you interpret biology. Just remember there are people willing to adopt and provide an amazing life to their chosen children and adoption is not a bad alternative either. And you calling them bigots is a hot take, many pro choice and pro life have been nothing but respectful in here, and I think they are both entitled to their opinions and don't consider neither 'bigots'.

having a different opinion doesn’t mean being bigoted

i am pro life too(except for the case if the women are raped)

It’s clear many here don’t even know what pro choice means.
If you’re against pro choice that means you want the government to make sure no woman can ever abort a child. And if they do then they should be put in prison/treated as criminals for doing so.
This is what pro life means.
If BY CHOICE you don’t want to abort because YOU believe about life at conception that’s called PRO CHOICE. Because you MADE A CHOICE.

Life is multiple choice, not true or false.

If a woman does not want to give birth she has the right to get an abortion. I was born in poverty from a unwed mother and a father who was in and out of my life. My mother had 5 kids and struggled all alone. Me and my sisters would never want to wish that on a child born to parents not financially or emotionally stable. So many children born into abusive poor neglected homes lets focus on them please?
-
Abortions don’t stop just because they’re made illegal. Women’s mortality just rise, because now, they’re doing it with unsafe methods and cannot go to hospitals in fear of being arrested.
You’re just increasing the number of women that become mothers against their will. Then you wonder why so many parents are shitty. Then you wonder why Mental health problems in children are on the rise.
Childbirth is 14 times more dangerous than abortion for the mother: heart attacks, strokes, embolisms, internal hemorrhage, sepsis, depression, etc. Oh wow, how curious, suddenly, nobody cares.
If you’re so worried for the children that won’t be born, here’s a solution: bear those “babies” instead of those women, be an incubator, see if you like it so much. Then, we’ll talk.
-
Not really, because being pro life means you have no choice but giving birth.

I'm pro-choice. What do you do when the baby who was never wanted in the first place is born? Put them into foster care? Do you realize how horrible the system is? They can be abused by parents who only see them as a source of income and not a human. And then they'll say oh they'll be fine when they turn 18. No, the damage is already done. Their brain has developed defense mechanisms. These kids will never be able to form healthy relationships. You follow a few simple guidelines and you can get a kid. Living in an orphanage or the foster care system is not all rainbows and gum drops. It's basically like a children's prison. You say murder on a barely fetus is wrong, what about that kid who is gonna live with the trauma for the rest of their lives? Suicide rates are high among kids in the system. And is anyone doing anything to fix the system? No! You wanna preach pro-life, care about the lives that are being destroyed by a system right here and now. You can say oh the women shouldn't have gotten pregnant. She can't always have that choice. Rape, incest, and failed contraceptive methods are all possible! Do you expect a rape victim to carry around a reminder of her rapist for nine months? She can't reach closure within herself. You preach that pro-life is anti-murder but this is murder of the mind. How many people go for illegal abortions because they feel like they have no other choice? No other chance of freedom!
-
Here's the thing
Being pro-choice is not forcing anyone to have abortions. It merely allows people to get them if they want to.
Being "pro-life", on the other hand, is actually being anti-choice. There is no scientific evidence that the fetus is more than a clump of cells from the point of conception. There is no scientific evidence that beyond a complex nervous system, our humanity is shaped by supernatural forces such as souls. Of course you can still believe in souls, be religious, spiritual, whatever you want to be. You can even think that life and humanity begins at conception and can choose not to get abortion. However, you cannot force your beliefs on other people, because they have the right to hold theirs too, as long as they're within reason.
-
Women can do whatever they want of their own body
forcing someone to not have an aborbtion doesn't help neither the mom or the kids
first because in the case of if the mom keep the child, most of the time they aren't ready or doesn't have the income to take care of a kids so why make a woman struggle more in life than she's already doing and give a miserable life to a child because their parents weren't ready, and doesn't have the money to give him everything he needs '-'
why make a kid suffer just because some dumb dude with some old thoughts thought that it was better to ban aborbtion
i'm sorry but it's just dumb
i prefer for someone to be able to understand that they aren't ready to give life and have an aborbtion
than force a child to come in this world, where the parents aren't ready and where this child will suffer forever just to please the beliefs of some people who will never know this child name
-
being pro life means ruining at least two lives that you have no business meddling with. a mother who doesn't want the child and will have to sacrifice for that child, and the child who will eventually be born into either an unloving family or foster system which high key sucks. if things are rough you can add on a father and other family members as well.
not everyone can afford to pop out a baby and feed it for a life, or even the medical bills of just giving birth, so check your privilege before speaking, or pay higher taxes to help them pay for it.
