There is an in between being a ‘National hit’ and the complete irrelevance current BGs are having on the charts

It’s called being EXO.

EXO is very much digitally successful. Their albums get a billion digital points. BTW even huge groups with digital hits don’t have albums with a billion digital points. Their title tracks chart on the gaon digital chart for months i’m talking 10 months or more.

EXO have songs in the top 10, top 20 and most of their main title tracks make it onto the Gaon top 100 year after year consistently till their enlistment. Current BGs are incapable of this.

Their worst performing full album TT obsession is better than every single BG release this year other than the obvious. It charted for like 8 months on the Gaon digital chart. If obsession was released in 2021 I feel like it would have been called a major hit eye- (it’s a major hit in my HEART anyway)

Ppl don’t realize how consistently good EXO were year after year

I always maintain that EXOL were in it for the music. It’s not possible to have such a fandom and get consistent good results for like 7 years without good music.

I felt like everyone needed a reminding of EXO’s legacy Kek.

You’re absolutely right. Their album digitals all the way up to DMUMT were insane. It has a billion digital index and if you add in LS it’s like more 1.5 billion. Those are hit numbers.

EXO have hit albums. From XOXO all the way up to DMUMT they were all hit albums.

There is a reason why EXO have won melon album of the year and melon artist of the year.
