I thought she was Japanese, but she sounds like korean

Why does Aespa Giselle sounds fluent in Korean?
-
-
She is half korean and half japanese
If I remember correctly

But her korean is so good, she must be bilingual growing up
-
She is mixed. Her mom is Korean so she is also fluent in Korean even though she grew up in Japan.
-
not for Giselle specifically (since I really don't know what her situation is like growing up) but around me there are a lot of couples from different countries and they speak to their children with their native language
so like a kid with Japanese mother and Chinese father - the mother would speak exclusively to that child in Japanese whilst the father would converse in Chinese all the while speaking english outside the home (I'm from Australia)
-
she half korean half japanese. Her mom and her mom side probably speak korean to her and her dad side speak in japanese.
-
Because she is fluent and as a half-Korean woman living in Korea that isn't surprising
-
I think she is not used to reading Japanese Kanji and even asked her Japanese fans to tone down on the amount of Kanji her fans are writing to her in one occasion so if anything she is actually a bit weak on the Japanese side.

I don't know I'm not Japanese but it's what she said to her own fans so that's that.

lol sorry i was just meming, kanji is just notoriously hard to understand completely
-
I think she's actually more fluent in English than Korean or Japanese. The members pointed out once in Weekly Idol that she sometimes pretend to understand some Korean, and I can see that she don't really master Japanese either. Probably because she goes to international school so she speaks English more.

yea, anyone learning Japanese learns from Hiragana them Katagana and then Kanji in the end to simplify, it's pretty tricky to master Kanji
