to be honest. aespa, joy and taeyeon are the only ones doing good. others can't even crack 1m uls after 5 months.

I'll agree with this once I see which songs are in year end charts

NCT songs are not hits. They aren’t even EXO or Shinee at their peak level hits on the charts. For being at their peak it’s actually very poor for an SM group. They seem amazing because everyone else is really bad. SKZ,TXT are new groups. It took NCT 5 years to get to this average charting by amassing a fanbase. Give it time, so will the others. As for aespa, a big3 GG is always destined for success more so than others.

lmao what about itzy then?
They had a huge hit at debut didn’t they. They couldn’t sustain it. Who knows that can happen for Aespa too. Maybe after a new shiny Hybe/JYP/YG group debuts, Aespa may fade too. But these big3 GGs always have that initial hype. Even Red Velvet this year had one of the highest debut ULs. Whether that popularity can be sustained depends on whether SM can consistently give them songs that Korea likes. But people are definitely more open to liking a GG song from big3 than anyone else.

It’s amazing how NCT is simultaneously nugu but has a big fandom.
It’s amazing how NCT doesn’t chart while simultaneously topping the Gaon chart (NCT Dream Hot Sauce.)
It’s amazing how people think songs aren’t “gp friendly” while the actual GP apparently has no problem with a song like Next Level.
