Yeseo looked like she was 12 in Busters, felt like some kind of Child Exploitation
I am not a fan of really young Girls in Kpop Groups, she is 16 now and whist that is still very young it is far more reasonable
Why I hated what happened to Busters where they kicked out all the older members and before the end had an average age of 13 I think?

I liked Busters but their label was very shady and yeah it did look like they were exploiting those girls.
Still rooting for Yeseo though, shes worked hard to get where she is.

Oh I agree about the age thing. That's what eventually turned me off from them. Well that and all the original members leaving.
Even though Chaeyeon was only a year older than her (I think) she looked like she was 16 or 17 compared to her.
I'm glad she's finding success now but it always annoys me when this happens.
Same thing happened with Eujin from Sonamoo when she was on one of those damn shows. She got really popular. Why did no one care when she was in Sonamoo?

I still don't care about her.

And that's perfectly fine. I appreciate the consistency.

aww man why did you have to remind me about Sonamoo

But honestly, did she really get popular though?
It felt to me like that final group had almost no popularity, and in hindsight none of those Girls really went on to the kind of success we all thought they would have from going on that Show
The Unit was the most sobering realization of my Kpop fan experience
I thought with massive amounts of eyes on them (The Unit had over 5x the ratings of GP999), that these Girls who had little Fame or Success would catapult into Stardom due to the exposure, because in my mind that was all they were lacking due to being from smaller companies
What happened was all those eyes watching the show slowly switched the channel over to something else, forgot about them quickly, and went back to supporting the already famous groups and upcoming groups from the Big 3
As much as I might like certain Idols and think they are amazing, there is something that the big stars have that isn't easily defined, that "IT" factor if you will
We all like to scream Big 3 Privilege, but maybe the real privilege is these big companies have the resources to find the Stars, to find and recruit the aspiring Idols who have that "IT" factor

Eujin and Dana...poor Dana nearly got cut from that idol drama show she did but thankfully Moonbyul came to the rescue and made her the main character so she got screentime.

Which is why I've never gotten into these survival shows. They are a waste of everyone time and energy. The only people who win are the networks who make the money. The idols get exposure in return but its the equivalent of "15 minutes of fame".
The only show like this that actually mattered was Sixteen. And why is that?? Big fucking 3 privilege.
