As others have said there are rumors of both a new NCT unit and a new unrelated bg.
There is a set of trainees who have been spotted a few times (at a wedding, at Doyong's musical, hanging out with Sungchan) who seem to be potential NCT members, however there is another of trainees who were in a few SNS posts (I want to say TikTok) back when SM was getting ready for a Japanese audition that seem to be potential members of a new bg.

I'm pretty sure they already have draft for the new boy group since they have many trainees.
