What are your thoughts on cops?

It depends on country like in our country they are fine.

There is clearly cultural differences..

Finnish police officers are supposedly considered trustworthy by about 95% of the population, while in America, only around half of survey respondents believe they can trust the police.

eventhough the cops are not the worst in my country, my policy is to avoid them.

Kinda appreciate one of them walking me to subway and yelling at the creep who was following me

There needs to be serious reform.

I feel similarly to @ellenote on this. I believe there is a combination of good and bad people on nearly every group and cops are no exception. There are some wonderful cops who do their best and are good and fair people. Then there are the corrupt cops and ones who abuse their power just because they can. Have a great day/night!

Mixed feelings. Some cops are good, some aren’t…

I’d being lying if I said I hated cops but they definitely aren’t my favorite type of people..

Cops are mixed bag: some average, some really really good and some horribly bad.

Personally the issue aren't as much specific cops but the law enforcement department in general, if that makes sense

There are bad apples in the police force but the crime rate is pretty high where I live (organized crime, drug dealing, assaults, robberies... ) so I generally feel safer with police around.

I'd rather not find out what would happen without the police protecting us.

I guess my opinion is that there's definite room for improvement but the vast majority of cops aren't as bad as people like to make them out to be. It's a tough job and a dangerous one, and I'm glad there are people who are willing to do it.

From experiences I've had with them, they have an attitude and just threaten and intimidate. Don't have a lot of time for them especially in my town.

I live in Germany. Many cops I've seen are good looking, they have a very well built body, so they look kinda attractive. I've also always admired the way they walk, very intimidating.

Anyways other than that, I've never been in a situation where they were unjust, so I have a good image of them.
